Hello, fellows. Nice pebble beach, so you won't get any problems with the sand everywhere :). The pebles are very clean, you can lay on the pebbles, but i would still recommend yo take a thick beach towels with you. Please be aware that the water gets deep really quickly, this place may be not very ruitable for the small children. If you go to the right during low tide, then the shore is less steep and you can go with small children there, but this area is not supervised by the lifeguards. The water is really clean, I was snorkeling there, although didn't see any marine life near the beach. The views are amazing, if you get tired of the beach you can go for a walk on the cliffs, however, we spent a whole day for the walk only. You can hire a kayak or a paddle board to go near the famous cliffs. 1 hour is just enough to paddle to the last point allowed for paddle and come back. So if you want to relax and not to hurry- take 2 hours. The renting place is on the left side of the beach (if you face the sea), look for a small white hit. They accept cash or cheques, no card payments. Plenty of restaurants not too far from the beach. We have spent two days there (we were staying in Honfleur) and enjoyed it. I would suggest to use a free car park outside of the village, but if you have a lot of stuff for the beach, just drive as close as possible to the beach - it still possible, drop off someone with the beach stuff there and return to the free car park. It will take you around 15 mins to walk to the beach, but you will not have any problems with the parking. We were able to find a spot to park after 11:00 without any problems (Aug). Best...

It's a pebble beach, which adds to its unique charm. The sound of the waves rolling over the stones is incredibly soothing, and it’s a perfect spot to sit and simply take in the beauty around you. The water is clear and, depending on the weather, can range from a deep blue to a vibrant turquoise. One of the highlights of visiting Étretat is the opportunity to hike along the cliffs.
