I'm English, so I've been eating fish and chips my whole life. Here I had the best fish and chips I've ever had. It was beautiful, the chef took at traditionally fast food style plate and elevated it to something much higher.

If fish and chips isn't for you, they also offered a wide variety of other dishes, made with local and fresh produce. From my understanding, all the food came from the Normandy region. Every other plate I saw looked delicious and I'll certainly return to try more of the food here. Overall I found the prices to be very agreeable also, good money-to-value ratio considering the quality of the good and freshness.

However, it isn't just a restaurant but a "bar a manger" or gastro-pub as we'd call it back home, so I'd be remiss to not mention that side of things. As far as bars go, it's exactly the kind of place you want to visit for a nice drink and a friendly atmosphere. The decoration and lighting was welcoming and cozy, the staff and patrons friendly and warm, and the selection of drinks varied and of good quality.

I saw on the menu a range of beers, some local, some from a little further away such as Belgium, but nothing I recognised as a generic brand you could find in any old pub. I personally had the "Demi de mêlée" which was quite light and paired nicely with my meal.

Lastly the service is worth mentioning, everyone working there was friendly and welcoming, intently listening to their customers and making them feel at home.

I'll certainly be visiting again and urge others to do the same, my visit was a real treat and I think it's an ideal place to grab lunch or dinner if you're visiting the area or a...

Sincèrement déçue par notre passage dans ce restaurant. L’accueil était froid, le service peu professionnel : le serveur ne connaissait pas les plats et ne semblait pas vraiment concerné. C’était un mauvais départ… Malheureusement, le repas n’a pas relevé le niveau. Le caviar manquait de saveur, la rillette de poisson était fade, et les frites sont arrivées froides. Pire encore, quelques heures après le dîner, mes amis et moi avons été malades, ce qui laisse penser que certains produits n’étaient peut-être pas très frais.

C’est d’autant plus dommage que nous avions choisi cet endroit sur la base de bons avis et de recommandations. Même jusqu’au moment du règlement, pas un sourire ni un mot pour nous dire au revoir. Ce sera ma première et sans doute dernière visite. Je souhaite malgré tout une bonne continuation à l’équipe.

Je souhaite simplement préciser que mon commentaire n’avait aucunement pour but de nuire gratuitement à votre établissement, mais de relater de manière sincère notre expérience ce soir-là. Ce n’était pas une critique malveillante, mais un partage de faits : nous étions trois, et nous avons malheureusement toutes été malades après notre passage chez vous. Il m’a donc semblé important de remonter l’information, dans une démarche constructive, afin que vous puissiez vérifier si quelque chose avait pu poser problème ce jour-là.

Concernant le serveur en formation, je comprends qu’il puisse y avoir des ajustements à faire, mais il est quand même essentiel que certains fondamentaux soient assurés, notamment dans l’accueil et le service.

Our Mixed Charcuterie board was such a wonderful surprise. With several very unique Normandy cheeses including one with toasted cumin seeds.

The terrine & both meats were so flavorful. I love that one of them was smoked 😋

And that perfectly crisp tempura battered fish and house-made frites were a thing of beauty. So cool that they thought to use their delectable local trout to give it a Normandy spin on Fish & Chips.

Last but not least the service and local Cidre were fantastique....
