1hour before closing, we sat for a drink. After 15 minutes waiting, the waiter came to tell us that they wouldn't serve us because they were closed... 45 minutes before closing time... Didn't even ask if we wanted food or just a drink... Whatever, we won't come back..
Review following owner's answer:
Hello, here's my answers to your points: -we checked the opening hours on your website, so possibly you should update this too next time so you won't create confusion in your potential customers; -I didn't know that in an Espresso bar you should be sitting only once announced.. next time I will have the butler introducing us before sitting at your bar! -about whether or not I was frustrated or if my review is interesting or not, I will let the readers decide, while I couldn't care less of what you think. However, thank you for your answer, as this makes the point on your rudeness as mentioned in my original review.

If this is the best coffee in Lille , then no wonder everyone drinks copious amount of beer. Terrible coffee and poor food offerings.
Service non existent. Catered obviously to locals but what’s off putting is asking for a straw only for the female server to oblige - before getting cut by a male server saying ‘ we don’t have any ‘ . So what was the lady trying to get me then?

V60 from Peru quite good, tea flavour, chocolatey. Unfortunately there is no choice of coffee origin for filter and for espresso. Also the cafe wasn’t clean. Still a nice place to visit and have an okay coffee:) Edit: It’s very nice that you reply and wish to adjust to clients preferences. I still believe an espresso in a speciality café is best when it has a rich profile, and not only acidic vs bitter preference. My espresso also had little bits of grinded coffee on the bottom which is not a good sign. The bathroom wasn’t clean but weekends are obviously a tough time. Nevertheless I enjoyed the V60 and a pleasant atmosphere. I hope to visit again when I come to...
