Les Deux Ponts — Restaurant in Lisieux

Our second meal in Hornfleur. After a very disappointing meal at a harbour front restaurant, we found this gem. We were warmly greeted by our waiter, who we later found out was called Ludwig. He offered us a choice of tables and when seated brought us the menus. A short while later having seen us struggling with French menus he discreetly brought us ones in English. Thank you Ludwig. My wife ordered the chicken supreme and I started with oysters followed by a steak (Well done) which raised some eyebrows, but you like what you like. Father’s Day lunch: We had an exceptionally good meal and a wonderful time. The fruits de mer platter for two was enormous, fresh and beautifully presented. The salad with baked chevre and the special moules frites with Camembert were both delicious. The manager, serveuse, and other staff were lovely, accommodating and kind. I went there with some friends to escape the rain. We weren’t sure what to expect. They got the mussels and said they were great I ordered vegetarian falafels with pasta and small glass of wine. Total cost $25.50 worth it definitely not. Pasta came and was plain. Thought there would be some sauce for that price and the falafels with tiny and over cooked. Waste of money.
