Michelin Star Food! In the UK this restaurant would have 1 Michelin Star. However, as the standard is so high in Lyon it does not but I’m sure will do very soon. The Chef de patron, Alexandre Delteil, created and served three course of fabulous seasonal food that was so thoughtful and refined we could not believe it was not Michelin level.
The restaurant is tucked away down a small street, so best to walk or as we did go by taxi. The outside is understated, and when you walk in the décor is very reserved. But the simple décor is made up for by the warm welcome by Suzanne and her team. Their English is superior to our limited French, but we instantly felt welcomed and relaxed. I’ve booked mark this restaurant to try but things must have changed from being worthy of a 4.7 rating.
The restaurant was full when we had dinner there. We ordered two dinner menu but with different dishes to sample all the dish options. All dishes are lukewarm and doesn’t have much flavors.
The appetizer “pizza 2.0” is the worst dish- the dough is chewy and cold. The main dish “chard carbonara” is a dish of cold veggies that is pre-cooked and serve old with a raw egg yolk. It is no taste and soggy.
The main dish is a meat dish with brown sauce that tastes burnt and slightly bitter.
We have another main dish with gnocchi in which the ‘gnocchi’ is some deep fried meshed potato which is burnt.
Service was efficient but food is 1-star.

Prompt initial service (almost too prompt) but as the restaurant became busy we were left behind... And there are several small dining areas. Seated next to the kitchen we endured the poorly ventilated smell of lamb fat cooking for much of the evening.... A shame as the food was terrific but poor service and a poorly ventilated kitchen spoilt...
