Great place to take the bus to the medieval village called Pérouges. It takes 1h15 to get there compared to 30 minutes by train but the price is amazing!!! Only €2 instead of roughly €7-8 by train. Be careful of the time table because there are only a few buses in the morning and at night to get back. You can get off at Gendarmerie and walk no more than 8 minutes to get to that...
