This place was very good, we ordered a pizza and lasagna, which were great. We also had a Cesar salad, which we were not impressed by, but the standard side salad was perfect and they had a great lambrusco wine.
There was a young couple sitting next to us (~early 20s) that was judging and commenting on our every move in a derogatory way. They assumed we couldn't understand them because we're American, but we understood more than we didn't. They were instantly commenting on our clothes, voices, and how much food we ordered and they discussed my wife's ring for their entire meal 😆 trying to guess the cost + size etc.
We drank 3 glasses of wine and they had plenty to say about that, adding that we probably get our coffee from Starbucks. It's not the restaurants fault. They can't have a 'no jerk policy', but it was annoying little annoying that we were their singular topic of conversation. It must have been a boring date.
Nothing could bring us down as we had just gotten married in Chamonix that morning, so we had an amazing evening. Eventually the man child dropped his knife loudly and spilled wine all over his girl. Karma is real

Read moreCarbonara arrived cold and then was then immediately replaced by another lukewarm dish, which made the experience awkward as I did not want to disturb the server twice - slightly frustrating as I understand hospitality staff often deserve the benefit of the doubt with demand but food arriving cold is a first for me and no apology offered. Food tasted nice enough but I presume I got the last portion of the batch left in the kitchen, so difficult to appreciate. Server was efficient but seemed rushed constantly by guests and there was minimal interaction between ordering and paying. Attractive looking restaurant on the surface but did not meet high expectations, a regretfully disappointing experience for a spontaneous birthday...
Read moreThis has been one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in Europe in the past several years. All of the staff here are very friendly and helpful. The surface is excellent. The food is amazing. The wine is fantastic. In the United States, you typically pay an exceptionally high price for the quality of the food, preparation, and service. Here in France the prices are much more reasonable. Additionally, the wine we were served was a highly rated Sarah. Once again, in the United States, you would certainly pay a premium price for a bottle of this quality, but you might get served wine of average quality. We will definitely return here to enjoy...
