I’ve been to this place before with two of my friends. We stumbled upon this restaurant because it served Asian food, and we loved it. But there was a bit of drama during our visit. I ended up paying more than I should have due to a mistake made by the staff.
Here’s what happened:
When we arrived for lunch, we scanned the barcode to order our food. My friends and I scanned separately but decided to pay in cash at the cashier. One of my friends paid for her order by herself without any issues. The other friend and I decided to pay together in cash, and that went smoothly as well.
When the food arrived, we noticed there was an extra nasi goreng sumbawa (fried rice). We had only ordered one nasi goreng sumbawa, so I informed the staff. The staff member showed me a receipt that said we had ordered two. I insisted that we hadn’t. At first, I was confused and wondered if I had accidentally ordered double. But I was too hungry and tired to deal with it at the moment, so I just ate my meal while they took the extra nasi goreng away and said they would pack it up as a takeaway.
As I ate, I started thinking about what had happened and realized the issue. The staff had accidentally made a duplicate receipt. My friend who ordered the nasi goreng combined his order with mine to pay together at the cashier. There was no reason for the extra order.
After I finished eating, the staff member who had taken the order was on break, so I had to explain the situation to another staff member. I can just taken the takeaway food since they claimed we had already paid for it, but I didn’t want to. I don’t want to take something that is not mine. I explained that I hadn’t paid for it and reminded them I had only given 50 euros in cash for three meals: my tom yum and iced tea, the small rice chicken dish (I don’t know its name), and the nasi goreng with Coca-Cola.
It took 15 long minutes of back-and-forth until she finally understood. In the end, she told me, “You still need to pay because we already cooked it.”
At that point, I was too exhausted from the drama to argue further, so I just said fine. I ended up paying an extra 16 euros for the takeaway that nasi goreng and cola.
Honestly, it was their mistake, and I shouldn’t have had to pay for it.
The place and the food are great, though. My recommendation to anyone planning to visit, just make sure to either pay separately for each person or place one group order to avoid this...
Read moreThe food is tasty but the service we received tonight was absolutely horrendous.
We ordered on the self service stations and sat ourselves upstairs on a table a couple had just left - the restaurant was busy so we understood it could take some time until the table was cleared and our food to be ready (both things we were perfectly happy with). We ordered 1 appetiser, 2 main dishes and 2 desserts. The appetiser arrived at the same time as our main dishes and less than a minute later the waitress brought our desserts as well - Mind you, we ordered 2 cheesecakes. I politely asked if we could please have the desserts after we had finished our food since cheesecakes are better eaten fresh. The waitress was very rude, huffing and rolling her eyes at us and when I insisted (after explaining that we’re happy to wait, since they were busy) she slammed the desserts on her tray and took them away. We waited exactly 40 minutes after we finished eating and nothing was brought. At this point there were only 3 tables in the restaurant and the waitresses were restocking glasses and topping up napkins on tables, very obviously not busy. When we came downstairs asking for the desserts to go because we didn’t have any more time to wait, they laughed when they gave us the boxes.
I have worked in hospitality for 9 years and I understand rush hour can be very stressful but we were very understanding and respectful. There is no reason for someone to be...
Read moreOrdered pad thai and it showed up with just the noodles... no bean sprouts or other vegetables as advertised. We were not forewarned when arriving or ordering. Other menu item was "grayed out" but this one wasn't when it should have been.. We were offered to choose something else... but the only thing else (phò) also depends on vegetables they didnt have. We came because it was listed as Thai Food on google maps. It is better listed as Asian fusion.
They eventually refunded us for the noodles but not without at first refusing and having to engage with the manager who reluctantly refunded.
The other foods: Egg roll. OK. Probably best that we had at this restaurant... but they arrived cold. The small sausage appetizer was ok. the IPA on tap was good... cold... and not flat.
Dog friendly. Wait staff very friendly.
Restaurant looked clean and the atmosphere was probably best part about it.
This is not thai food. I do not recommend this restaurant if you have...
