Didn’t like the place. The staff was rude and discriminative. Sadly
The restaurant removed my review!!!! But I’ll write again.
Here is my answer to them: I have more than 300 reviews in Google maps and I am not related to the other restaurants. I put my honest experiences and they vary from each place based on my own opinion.
I wrote my own opinion based on my experience being here. I also find it rude that instead of accepting the mistakes and trying to look carefully through the situation you started directly blaming me in falsification and threatening me with the complaints. This is again showing and confirming that the staff is rude here.
Also I would say that being a part of one minority does not stop people from discriminating people from the other minority. In my particular case it is related to my nationality that happened in your restaurant.
I am upset with your unprofessional response and that as a manager of the restaurant you are not aiming to check your staff and correct the mistakes, instead you put yourself in a victim position and blame me for being badly discriminated in your restaurant. Shocking ….
I’ve also read the previous responses from your side on the low rates when you ironically tell people “sorry you are alone at your dinner”/“learn the country before you come”/“thanks god you were not able to come to our restaurant”, when you call people stupid!!! Is it not a discrimination?!

Not open, and guy inside wouldn’t open up... I would have just sat and had a glass of wine quietly and waited for them to be ready, no problem. But I wasn’t offered the chance.. I waited until 18:20, still not open. So I went down the street and ate at Merle Huîtres et Coquillages. They also open at 18:00, but, actually open at that time! It was delicious, highly recommended.

Ambiance was real chill and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. When we were paying our bill they apologized for being understaffed after one of their servers called in sick, but it was probably some of the best service we had so I can’t imagine what it would be like if they were fully staffed!
Le Book-Lard is a little out of the way from Lyon’s attractions but well...
