The gallettes were not bad at all, however the service was far too slow. We went in around 1pm, with a train leaving at 3pm, thinking we had plenty of time to eat. However, we only managed to get a gallette and had to skip the sweet crepe, which was included in the menu, because after more than one hour we were still waiting. On top of this, when we asked to have a separate receipt for each of us - no other restaurant in Lyon had a problem with that - the people working there were visibly annoyed and gave us completely wrong receipts. Read moreLa Marelie is a great place where you can tell locals go to. We ordered La Popeye, the Vegetarienne and a sweet crepe with chocolate. Although the cheese was a little rich on the savory crepes, the veggies were cooked well and the fried egg on top was a nice touch. The sweet crepe was simple but very delicious. Although our server spoke mainly French, it was nice she was patiently listening to us, as we slowly spoke their language to the best of our ability. I would be interested to try the other creperies and see how La Marelie stacks up...

There also was only one vegetarian option (the other vegetarian option is only available with the set menu during weekdays). We were told to order a galette with meat and ask for it without the meat, but we still had to pay the same amount. Other than that, the service was kind and the sweet crêpes were good.
