We went for dinner yesterday and ordered samosas to start. They were good but not indian. Then garlic naan with butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. The naan was very tasty! Unfortunately the currys had nothing to do with indian food at all. It was bland and just nothing like it should be. Where were the spices?! I asked for chilli and salt which they said they don‘t have…then they asked from where I am and as I am from Malaysia they then I guessed realized that you can‘t fool me with this „curries“. After a short while they brought another curry, it was spicey and tasted much better! So I mixed it with the butter chicken. I don‘t understand how you can ever call this indian food and the guests here are beeing fooled! I also said we are not going to eat the rice and it will go to waste but they insisted to bring it as it’s complimentary. How illogical and unflexible is this?! At least the service was fast and friendly but I can‘t...
Read moreIf you are planning to take a dinner for your 8 year old kid, then this is the right place for you. The amount of food is sufficient for your kid but not for you. I have never ate such small amount of food in any restaurant. The price is quite high as compared to the quality and amount. I ordered PLAOW, NAAN and AGNEAU PENJAB. By the way, it was not a PLAOW, it was just rice with some food color. In AGNEAU PENJAB, they provide 7-8 very very very small pieces of lamb which are smaller than a chicken piece in Chilly chicken. The quality of NAAN was OK (obviously rate is higher than size). Moreover, the quality was not such high as their rating. I don't know why people gave them such high rating. Therefore, if you have no other choice, you can stop by this restaurant (For one people 40-50 euros). I would never recommend this restaurant for anyone (even not for your kid). I would have given a negative 2 star, but there is no...
Read moreLe Penjab is located quite centrally in Lyon across the river close to the walking bridge easy to get over from the down town city centre. The restaurant is normally open only for dinner. The restaurant is very nice, clean and well maintained. Although could not dine in I went to personally pick the take away. They were quite friendly and humble. The food tasted very nice and was like home style cooking. The prices are not super cheap but considering in the city centre can be explainable but the portion size can be improved. The only bummer is that they don’t accept credit cards and only accept cash. The spent 4 days in France not needing to spend a penny physically and I bumped and had to draw out cash. It was super surprising and hope they will...
