HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
The online reservation process is unclear and I ended up reserved this restaurant part that we believe it was a one stared restaurant, which it is not.
I was upset with the table that the restaurant provided us despite our special request that we want to have a good view since it's our special occasion but we were shielded from the panoramic view by all the guest who were there before us. If the restaurant's policy is to give front row tables to the guests who arrive first, they should specify this on the reservation platform.
The food was good, I have nothing to complain about this (and it's the only reason that I gave two stars instead of one). Beautiful food presentation. The dessert was not really interesting, it can be better.
For the payment, the bill is unclear. The staff at the cashier thought that we took some coffee which we didn't. The former price was 145 euros, but after the person took out the coffee price from the bill, it left us to pay 135 euros. We took 2 menus (60 per pax) and two bottles of water, still and sparkling ones which I saw it cost 5 euros/bottle. And we had no idea why the finally price were 135 euros since we believed it should be 130 euros, and the staff didn't give us any bill showing the detail about this. We just realized this when we already left the restaurant.
For the ambience, apart from the hidden view, it's super cold and windy. We wanted to finish our meal as quickest as possible. So, apart from the food, we didn't have a pleasant time at this restaurant. Eating here was not a memorable...
Read moreAn overall disappointing experience. On the positive side: The rooftop has a breathtaking view at night There is a valet for the parking (a rarity in France) The welcoming is professional The food looks amazing The 60 euros per person price tag (excluding drinks) is fair for such a place.
On the negative side: The options are very limited Most of the items I tried were disappointingly bad tasting (none of the waiters taking back to the kitchen untouched plates bothered to ask why) The staff are not necessarily very professional: I asked the waiter for the sweetest red wine on the menu, the waiter baffled but then apologised and called his colleague "the wine expert". I told her "we just arrived to France and we are asking your opinion for the sweetest red wine on menu". Instead of explaining professionally that wine in France isn't necessarily sweet, she says "there is no sweet red wine hahaha" (with sarcasm). The logical answer to such a response should have been "of course there is you dmb idot". But I restrained myself from going down to her level of unprofessionalism. This attitude is not acceptable and will get them a...
Read moreLiterally the worst dinning experience of my life. I found a piece of plate, an actual piece of ceramic, inside the cheese I ordered that I bit into, which almost broke my tooth. When I notified the waitress, she took it away and said they’ll let the chef know. Although an egregious mistake to say the least, I expected they’d at least be extremely apologetic. Instead, they forgot about the issue and did not even try to take the cheese plate out of our bill. Once we told the hostess, she brought back the bill subtracting €5 off the price. We spoke to the hostess once again to say this was unacceptable. So she gave me 14 euros in cash (the price of the cheese plate) and called it day! This was not a case of finding a hair in my food. It was actual piece of plate that was seriously dangerous and could have caused serious internal injury. But the staff did not even have the courtesy to even try to...
