Amazing food, tastes exactly like at home ❤️ Super friendly staff and I cannot stress how surprised I was with the quality of the food.
I came for dinner on the first day, we had shawarma, flafel, mtabbal, tabboule and wara’ 3enab. They all tasted so so good, especially the shawarma marinade was so on point. Make sure to ask for more tarator, because you can never have enough of it.
We came back the next day for hommous and mana2ish. I was extremely surprised that they used actual accawi cheese in the jebneh man2oushe. A lot of backeries stopped doing that in lebanon, and I wouldn’t expect to find it in europe. The dough too, crazy good. And of course the hommos, nothing to comment on it.
Very pleasent discovery. I was very proud to take my french and german friends there and I was also very happy to eat typical food from home. In every shape and form. I could tell how much the owners/cook/staff wanted to keep the original taste in every dish they served, and they have definitely not failed in doing so.
I will definitely come back and I hope the quality and taste won’t...
Read moreWow, so impressed! We come from Canada and happen to live in a place filled with amazing Lebanese food due to a large Lebanese population over the years. My husband is Lebanese and I’m half. We were in heaven at this place!
The chef Jamil personally came to greet us and see how we enjoyed the meal. He was lovely, warm and hospitable but not without amazing work to back it up. The plates were generous and full of authentic flavour. You can taste the love.
Also, the restaurant is very clean and well maintained. The atmosphere is a little cold because it is more of an “express” dinner service but the food is restaurant dine-in quality. An improvement for the atmosphere could be to dim the lights a bit but this didn’t take away from the meal at all.
So far we’re tried the chicken shawarma plate, tabbouleh and the zaatar and meat pies (delicious). We can’t...
Read moreThe lebanese snack of our childhood!! Hats off to Mon Liban Express for really being the 1st lebanese restaurant "Snack" that makes us feel home. The shawarma (both, beef and chicken) is a killer!! Shawarma is different and more delicious than Kebab. Not to forget the real man'ouchés Zaatar (thym) & Jebneh (cheese). The prices are affordable and ranging from below average to average. To cut it short, if you're craving real lebanese food in Lyon, this is the place to be! Thank you Mon Liban Express for bringing home' authentic flavors to Lyon...
