The Elephant & Castle — Restaurant in Lyon

How awful. When I entered the premises, I was confronted with a small group of slightly aggressive egotistical French people. Please excuse the pleonasm. Fortunately they soon left and we were able to both sit at the bar and order drinks (beer, cider and whiskeys). The beer and cider were cold and foamless like they are supposed to be, and the whiskeys neat. I seem to recall that the "Fireball" I first tried in the US a few years ago was chilled and that the one served here wasn't, but then again everything is served ice cold in the US. I love this place . It is a very nice bar with three floors , the ground level one, the upstairs and the underground , all three very accommodating. I especially like the underground floor. It is very antique and comfortable with sofas and big cushy chairs. Their beers: Amazing! Their cocktails: Amazing! Their planche: Amazing! Un lieu incontournable à Lyon pour une soirée réussie ! L’Éléphant and Castle est bien plus qu’un simple bar, c’est une véritable expérience à vivre. L’ambiance est chaleureuse, conviviale et accueillante, parfaite pour se détendre entre amis ou même seul. La décoration, avec son style authentique et légèrement vintage, donne immédiatement le ton : ici, on est là pour passer un bon moment.

Mais ce qui rend cet endroit vraiment unique, c’est l’équipe formidable qui le fait vivre, et en particulier Paul. Ce jeune homme incarne le professionnalisme et l’amabilité à la perfection. Toujours souriant, attentif et d’une grande efficacité, il sait parfaitement comment rendre chaque client spécial. Que ce soit pour un conseil sur les cocktails ou simplement pour échanger quelques mots sympathiques, Paul est une véritable perle rare. Il contribue largement à l’atmosphère positive qui règne dans cet établissement.

Les boissons sont variées et de qualité, avec un choix impressionnant de bières et de cocktails qui raviront tous les palais. Mention spéciale pour les planches apéro généreuses et savoureuses, idéales pour accompagner votre verre. Le rapport qualité-prix est aussi irréprochable, surtout pour un lieu en plein cœur de Lyon.
