Funny eating Indian in Lyon but it was next to our hotel and we were hunkering for a bit more Asian flavor. I’m not Indian but I live in Silicon Valley so there’s a lot of great Indian food. The naan and pakora were fantastic. The masala chicken curry was tasty but very oily. The dal was good but nothing special. The mixed grill (shrimp, salmon, some sort of sausage) was, well, mixed. Weirdly no beer available. We had perfect weather outside but it was cramped fitting everything on the small table. Funny thing was that we thought the greeter dressed in full Indian regalia was a wax statue!

After reading some of the other reviews, I had a few more thoughts. Got a table right away at 7pm on Sat. Thought the portions were ok. The pictured meal (with a tea) was 60 euros. Seems normal for a touristy area. Mild spicy, we could’ve handled more but it was fine. Waiter spoke good English and helped me order non-dairy so I...

Dined here for dinner and would have gave this place another star as the service was top notch. However, the food was somewhat of a disappointment. While the starters of chicken tikka and meat samosas were not bad and one the sauces, which was chunky with carrots and had amazing spices, was one of the best I've ever had, the main dishes were a total let down. The butter chicken was of an orange color that didn't seem natural. I've had butter chicken before and it should be a yellow typical of turmeric and other spices and yogurt and tomato, but this was just too artificial and sickly tasting. The lamb tikka marsala was awful. The lamb was so tough you could barely cut it with a knife. This should be so tender when cooked fresh simmered for hours that the meat should be like butter that falls apart with a fork. I suspect the food here is either old or cooked from frozen. I would not recommend if you know...

I have been to many good indian restaurants back in the United Kingdom, however I am happy to say that this is one of the best ones in France I've had so far. I think portions and prices are fair, keeping in mind the food is very filling you don't need "elephant portions" so that's all fine. I can honestly recommend this to a lot of people to try, staff is amazing and friendly and if there would be a problem they would be fast to act on it and sort it out so there is no unhappy people.

As a conclusion: Food - VERY GOOD Service - FANTASTIC Ambience - AUTHENTIC

P.S.: Thanks a million to Hayder and Salman for being so good to us while we dinned there. They deserve all the praise...

Great place if you are looking for VEGAN options! It's not specified on the menu but after speaking with the waiters and the kitchen they have the following which are vegan. Starters: samosa légumes and Pakoras, and two entrees : Dall Tarka, and the Miz Sabzi. The Miz Sabzi was our favorite - a little spicy. So if you don't like spicy then you will be fine with the Dall Tarka. The plain Roti is also vegan. And they have passion fruit and mango sorbet for dessert. Just make sure to specify that you are vegan, and not vegetarian and they will look after you. The waiter we had did speak English.
