Prana restaurant — Restaurant in Lyon

Feel so blessed that I discovered Prana restaurant while in Lyon. From the moment I walked in -- the owner has such great taste when it comes to creating the perfect ambiance -- and was greeted by the lovely Wing (who spoke perfect English). It was one heavenly moment after another. My dinner began with the fabulous vegetable soup. It was so beautifully garnished and absolutely delicious that every cell in my body started singing. Then the 2nd course arrived (again such a beautiful, artful, presentation, wish I had taken photos). The incredibly delicious buckwheat crepe with spinach inside, with yummy roasted vegetables on top was simply divine! Folks in Lyon are so lucky to have this great restaurant at their doorstep. As the place seems very sweet, we came with high hopes. Unfortunately, we were up for a great disappointment. We literally tried every dish on the menu and non of them (apart from the chocolate mousse) was adequate of being served in a restaurant. The food was blunt, lacked creativity and simply put, badly cooked. The buckwheat dish looked like something my son would get in his kindergarten lunch. This restaurant has a pleasantly designed interior with friendly service. After a very good aubergine dip with bread we had a long wait for our main courses. The server did apologize for the delay. Both main courses were bland and disappointing. The crepes had no mushroom cream as stated on the menu. The macrobiotic plate had a lot of carrots and everything had the same texture.
