Warning to other girls: place to avoid!!!! Went to this bar on Friday to watch the rugby game with my boyfriend and friends. My boyfriend brought a cup of his own (a thermical one, with stickers, very different from the glass cups they provide you with at this bar) and before leaving, we asked one of the girls at the bar to put water in it so we could drink while on our way back home. When we passed the door, the “security” man grabbed us strongly accusing us of leaving with drinks from the bar, and he wouldn’t listen to us, we were trying to explain it was a cup of ours filled with water. The whole thing went really fast, but he was grabbing my boyfriend from his t-shirt around his neck. I thrown him the water I had in the cup and he hit me in the face. For the first time in life an unknown person/man hit me in the face… This got me to think and think and I honestly have ONE question for the ones who run this establishment: why can’t you provide with the people you hire with a minimum training to stop reacting automatically and have a minimum critical thinking while approaching other people? The whole situation could have been avoided if he would have just LISTENED to us. In a place where people come to drink and have fun, this kind of situation (or other situations that can easily be misunderstood) can happen again. And if your staff are not trained, you are the ones to blame. Instead of having a good night, after having spent a lot of $ in your bar, that’s what we got. Congratulations for the...
Read moreThe King Arthur Pub in Lyon is a hidden gem! I recently visited with my girlfriend and had one of the best hamburgers I've ever tasted. The meat was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, which really makes all the difference. The portions were generous, and every bite was pure bliss.
The pub itself has a great atmosphere—cozy, with a rustic and medieval-inspired decor that adds to the charm. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal with good company. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
For a pub in the heart of Lyon, the prices were quite reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. We were pleasantly surprised by how affordable the meal was. It's definitely in line with what you'd expect to pay for such a great dining experience.
Overall, King Arthur Pub is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a friendly, laid-back setting. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu! Highly recommend it to burger lovers and anyone looking for a unique pub...
Read moreI was on holiday in Lyon when we came across the King Arthur Pub, what a delight to find English beer. We returned to our hotel on the Friday night and on the Saturday I realised that I did not have my wallet, we retraced our steps but with no result. Later on in the week I received a telephone call from Adam Raffa who works at the King Arthur Pub, he had painstakingly tracked me down to say that my wallet had been handed in. Adam kindly posted my wallet back to my home address as we had moved on from Lyon. His honesty and good service is really appreciated and we shall be visiting the King Arthur Pub at some point in the future to thank...
