One of the most beautiful square in the second arrondissement of Lyon. It's incredibly clean (at least when I visited) . It's also part of the zone classified as a UNESCO world heritage site. To get your bearing around this square, Place Bellecour and Rue Childebert is just on the front of the square. There's three other streets; rue Jean de Tournes, rue Stella and Rue du Président Èdouard Herriot. I actually used Passage de l'Argue, a traboule shopping mall to access the square. In total, there's about eleven streets lead to the square! When you see the glass carousel, a large rectangular pool(fountain?), with benches and three storey buildings with animals and monsters on their façades then you are in the heart of Place de la République of Lyon.
