My experience with the tour to Calanques Natural Park was initially promising, as we had booked a half-day tour for a specific itinerary. However, upon boarding, the captain suggested opting for a different tour to the Côte Bleue on the right side of Marseille, citing the high boat traffic at the Calanques Marine Park on Sundays, and with the the Calanques tour, we can take only a bath and having more navigation (but it was all well described in their website and we were aware before booking). This alternative tour promised more opportunities for swimming (3 in total) compared to the original tour. While most participants agreed, I felt unsettled by the suggestion to switch, as it seemed to deviate from what we had originally booked and the day of the week was known in advance. It also appeared that the decision may have been influenced by the upcoming French Olympics Games, but the skippers must be aware of the event's impact on Marseille's planning in advance, not at the moment. The option offered for the alternative tour was enjoyable, and the skipper was friendly. However, the deviation from our original booking left me feeling that we should have been informed in advance, rather than on the day of the tour. And the option proposed was cheaper than what we booked(around 10euro cheaper). It's important for tour operators to uphold transparency and provide accurate information to customers before their scheduled experiences. I hope this feedback encourages the tour operators to communicate any potential changes to itineraries well in advance, ensuring that customers can make informed decisions about their...
Read moreI had a horrible experience with this company. My friend booked the trip for a day that had stronger winds. It was very wet everywhere as we came in and out the water. as a descended the stairs into the inner cabin, I fell extremely badly as my back hit the stairs with all strength. The boat captain, a young man, did not come to help. I was in so much pain that i couldn't go out of the cabin anymore, i couldn't sit facing front, so i sat sideways and because of the strong waves and the terrible smell of diesel in the cabin, i started suddenly throwing up. the captain immediately started screaming at me and SWEARING and threw a towel that fell 1 meter from me, screaming, "clean it, clean it! i have another crew of tourists coming right after you!" i couldn't even move, let alone take the towel. He called one of my friends and asked him to clean. He never looked at me and never asked me how i am. My friend requested that we come back 30 min sooner because i was in SO MUCH PAIN but he refused! when she persisted, he went and asked other people and they were ok so then he agreed. When we were getting off the boat, he didn't even come to help me get out. My friend had to bring the boat right to the land so that i can get out. the guy was too busy flirting with 3 college-aged Americans, who were on the trip with us. he didn't even look at me. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. if things are well, you'll have a great time, but if something happens, there's no one to help you. I was so traumatized that it took me 3 months before i can...
Read moreMy cousin and I booked the sunset tour w/ Eco-Calanques. It was slightly confusing to verify we were in the correct meeting place only because we were looking for a company sign/boat & didn’t see it right away. But once on the boat we had a wonderful time! It was a smaller boat, which we enjoyed b/c it seemed more personal. We got to meet lovely people during the trip! Our captain, François, was the BEST, very welcoming. He spoke French & English. He always made sure everyone on the boat felt comfortable. We ate delicious local food from a restaurant in Marseille. François was fun & let me pick his brain about the city of Marseille, which I loved! We docked in a little corner of the Calanques & jumped off the boat to swim for a good portion of the evening! We caught a beautiful sunset & had a peaceful sail back to the city. My cousin and I considered booking another tour for the next night w/ François but unfortunately it was already booked. 10/10...
