Afghan restaurant — Restaurant in Marseille

After a long day of visiting Nice. Came home and didn’t feel like going out for dinner. Looked out restaurant near us and decided to give Afghan restaurant a try. I was glad that I did. Although ordering was interesting. Although my translator app helped. I was able to ordered what was on displayed and decided to get the chicken biryani. While I was waiting for that, I saw dinner eating a delicious looking soup and ask if I can get one as well. It was a chickpea chicken soup that’s sour and spicy, perfect combination. A really bad experience, unfortunately I can't give zero stars.. We ordered three dishes to go, two kebabs with French fries and one double burger as a meal, i.e. also with fries, the price came to 31 euros, the result was one small box of kebabs, another small box of fries. potatoes, and a little salad in the third box, i.e. just lettuce leaves, a few tomatoes and 10 grams of onion and a hamburger wrapped in foil. No fries with the burger. Zero sauce on the kebab, no ketchup and not even sauce was offered. I also asked for plastic forks, they were not supplied either. Totally a scam. Hunger and disappointment remained. Don't believe the pictures, you can't get food like that here. Walk past this, don't waste your money. 24/04/2023 evening.

Très mauvaise expérience, malheureusement je ne peux pas mettre zéro étoile. Nous avons commandé 3 repas pour 31 euros. Nous avons eu une petite boîte de brochettes, une autre petite boîte de pommes de terre, et dans la troisième boîte, de la salade, c'est-à-dire juste des feuilles de laitue, quelques tomates et 10 g d'oignon, et un hamburger enveloppé dans du papier d'aluminium. Pas de frites avec le burger. Zéro sauce sur le kebab, pas de ketchup et même pas de sauce proposée. J'ai aussi demandé des fourchettes en plastique, elles n'étaient pas fournies non plus. Totalement une arnaque. La faim et la déception demeuraient. Ne croyez pas les photos, vous ne pouvez pas manger comme ça ici. Passez, ne gaspillez pas votre argent....

Great owner! Food looks amazing! Although I didn’t get to eat much the owner was kind enough to provide a drink that my husband wanted. Has a cute son who ran out and brought the specific energy drink we asked for! The back part of the restaurant is still under renovation but I am sure the final product will be beautiful as he explained to me. Reasonable price with variety food choices! If you haven’t tried Afghan dishes before this place...
