Brasserie l'OM Café - Officiel — Restaurant in Marseille

Good food but terrible service. I went today to have a few drinks and some appetizers but the waitress ‘didn’t allow me to’, I say it between questions marks because it was an odd situation: my husband ordered our two drinks, in the meantime I was checking the menu and the server just ripped it from my hands, didn’t even look at me or asked me if I was going to order something else (which is pretty obvious at every single restaurant, you get your drinks and continue checking the menu to decide your main plate or appetizer). It felt very rude. She brought our drinks and my husband asked her recommendations for an appetizer (since we didn’t have our menu anymore), she said it was different types of seafood but we got a plate full of calamari. It was good, not gonna lie but it was not what we expected. We haven’t even finished and she brought the check, we didn’t have the chance to get main dishes or more drinks. It really ruined my experience and for the prices I was expecting WAY more. Never...

Fish and seafood was not fresh, it was made from completely frozen products! How is that even possible if there are fishermen with fresh fish standing 100m from the restaurant? Dishes look nice but they are made from cheap, poor quality products.

The waiter gave us the bill 30 mins before the restaurant was meant to be closed. We didn’t ask for the bill. He just gave it to us as if he wanted to say „get out”. Typical French hospitality 🤷‍♂️

When we left the restaurant the waiter chased us to see the bill if we paid correctly (we paid in cash)!!! Everything was paid OK but he then demanded to take a photo of the bill. What was that?!? He didn’t know how much we were supposed to pay? It was the first time such thing happened in my entire life.

0/10, this place should be avoided. This restaurant confirms that Marseille is not an European city. Maybe in Africa/Arabia such standard would be OK, but as far as I know Marseille is still geographically in Europe. So maybe behave...

Unbelievably rude service. We were a group of three, however two of us arrived later. The waiter did not let the first person order until the group was complete. However, once everybody was there, even though he had been told before, suddenly we weren't allowed to only order drinks (we saw other people just drinking coffee as well). This rude waiter proceeded tho shout at us "JUST FOR LUNCH! NO DRINKS!" several times. Dear waiter, if you want to make your customers feel uncomfortable and unwanted, you were successful. If you want to fail at communicating and shout at your guests repeadedly, well done. I personally do not understand why we were not allowed to order drinks, but an explanation would have helped. Shouting the same sentence all over is, however, no explanation, nor is this what I would define as even standard service. What a waste of...
