Did not find staff friendly or welcoming, despite appearing tourist friendly due to their English menu. I found them to be very stingy and cheap with their portions and toppings, despite having specifically replied to other reviews stating their generosity. The heart waffles are falsely advertised online, showing many black and red berries, but in reality they give you one strawberry cut into 4 pieces and one raspberry. The owner has said to other reviewers to please ask for any changes, though when I asked for extra I was told no and the waiter said they are just for “decoration”. It is food, not decoration, and do not advertise it online as better than it is, if it is not that way in reality. I even saw other people leave the remainder of the same meal as they too had ran out of berries. Myself and my sister went to Biba for our last meal in Marseille. We both had the smoked salmon Benedict.it was beautifully served and the proportions were a really good balance of flavours. It was all made with fresh produce and the whole experience was a delight. We were served by a lovely man who was attentive if needed. The place was very busy and people queued down the street. They worked efficiently to take orders and deliver the food. The prices were good and fare . I will hunt it down again when I return . Last word ,the kitchen was not big and the professional manner in which everyone functioned to get the high end food out to customers was impressive. Biba is a lovely spot for brunch, and the food was truly delicious — good enough that I would consider coming back just for the dishes alone. However, the service side leaves much to be desired. They don’t take reservations, which often results in long waiting lines. Even when tables become available, it takes quite a while for them to be cleared and prepared for the next guests.

Once seated, you may find yourself waiting again — despite there being many staff members, only one person actually takes orders, which causes unnecessary delays.
