La ferme , terre & mer — Restaurant in Marseille

I have a very mixed review regarding this restaurant.

The food itself overall was very good, the meats were absolutely delicious and the dishes were well. We did have a little mishap where one of the meat dishes was a bit raw but they quickly brought us a new one and fixed the issue quickly. The desserts were also absolutely delicious and delightful.

They also have a short but nice cocktail menu, the drinks were very nice, I really like their S*x on the beach cocktail. The restaurant is very well located, very close and near the Vieux Port.

The one and only thing (that unfortunately made everything a bit sour, I would complain about would be the staff and the service. While some of the waiters were very nice, some were borderline very rude and straight up disrespectful. They were being very aggressive and very assertive, urging us to order very quickly and talking a in quite a very abrasive manner. We felt a bit unwanted/not welcomed and bit weird because of it, almost all our interactions with the staff felt very awkward and uncomfortable even though we were paying customers who were ready to order and eat a lot. Not to mention, the wait was incredibly long, and the manager was just as disrespectful and unfriendly as the staff he manages.

If it wasn’t for the food being good and delicious, we would have most definitely left the second we were badly talked to. The whole experience would have been so much nicer and better, had the staff been a little more patient, nicer and friendly. I personally wouldn’t go back there despite the food. It’s an...

Verdict: AVOID this restaurant..horrible, rude and unpleasant host with a frown who clearly hated his job and it showed. I don't know where he wanted to be, but definitely not at the restaurant.

I really wanted to try this restaurant as the menu was inviting. On a beautiful sunny and pleasant Saturday noon I walked in and asked for a table outside. The restaurant was not crowded, there were plenty of tables available and I wanted to enjoy my meal under the sun. The man in the front had a frown without a trace of smile demanded that I sit inside. I told him I like to sit outside. He said no! and walked away. He did not even wait for a response.

Please, tell me why would I want to eat here where there are so many more choices. I always say: VOTE WITH YOUR MONEY. I walked out never to return...sorry I could not taste the food... Please tell your host to be nicer...or find someone else at least with a smile. I recommend you look but keeping...

Visited La Ferme on 15/03/24 with friends, seemed like a nice place. The restaurant has good deals on main courses and desserts. Ordered Beef Lasagne- it came as a quite big portion for its price (which is good) and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the staff and service weren’t pleasant. For any additional request, you need to wait at least 10 mins, even though the area is not fully packed. Waiters were giving quite an unpleasant attitude and when we spotted a cockroach (due to health & safety acts it’s unacceptable) on the mini sofa we were sitting on (photo attached) we asked the waiter to take it down and the look on his face was saying that we are supposed to do it.
