Ordered fish ceviche for the starter. It was well seasoned, balanced between sweet from the veggies and sour from the marinated sauce of the fish. Fish was pretty tender and fresh. The bread was quite nice. Ordered Guinea fowl supreme and fish of the day for the mains. The chicken was very tender and juicy. Broccoli sauce blended well with the cream. Fish of the day was cooked perfectly. Very juicy. Had two kinds of sauces underneath the fish; one was more creamy, both based in broccoli. Had Asparagus and spinach on the side. The skin of fish was quite crispy, adding different texture to the dish. Ordered each of the dessert on the menu. Was veryyy amazed by the rice pudding. The rice wasn’t cooked through, which was a plus to us. It was creamy yet refreshing enough. Had sprinkles of crispy rice, cream fraiche, and strawberry on top. Strawberry pavlova was covered with cream fraiche. Vanilla flavored, with strawberries and strawberry sauce. Pretty light in taste! Chocolate moelleux was rich. Had chocolate cake as the base in the middle, with creamy mousse surrounding it. On top there were vanilla ice cream and cookie-dough-like, almond-taste sprinkles. We were very satisfied with everything, from the food to the service and dining environment. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting...

Can’t complain on service or atmosphere, both were excellent and we were sat in a lovely garden area at the back which was quiet and intimate. While the presentation of the food was careful, thoughtful and absolutely beautiful, we were a little disappointed about the experience overall, having read such good reviews.

We both got the duck breast, which we asked for ‘rosé’, but which came extremely rare and almost bloody. We probably should’ve sent it back and requested for it to be done a little more which is our bad but it was late and we were both absolutely starving so just ate it. The flavours were very good but mains weren’t cheap and so you do expect your food to be cooked and served in the style you’ve requested.

My partner got a selection of cheeses for dessert which he thought were very very good, I got the chocolate ganache pudding with seasonal fruit. The ganache was delicious, with poached pears, however the whole dessert was covered with what I identified as (i think) a basil oil which you couldn’t really escape and which unfortunately felt a bit misplaced in the dish. It was fairly overpowering and I didn’t love it as an addition.

That being said the setting and service were lovely but we probably wouldn’t return based...

We had great expectations about dining here, as a friend recommended it, but the all experience was very disappointing! As starter I had the marinade fish and my partner had the tomato salad with fresh burrata cheese. Everything was well presented but unfortunately they didn't say that they replaced the burrata with a cheap mozzarella, but my partner could immediately spot it. When we gave them our feedback about the quality of the "burrata" the manager explained that they had a very busy weekend and the kitchen finished all the burratas in stock. We felt cheated and we lost trust, the all experience was spoiled, what a pity! They offered us Armagnac e desert to share at the end of the dinner, we are...

I have been to Lacaille 4 times since moving to Marseille from London. It's probably the best restaurant in the city in terms of quality of food, price and ambiance. Every time I visit the menu has changed and it's just outstanding, using seasonal products and the portion sizes are just right to enjoy a 3 course meal. The chefs obviously have a lot of pride in what they serve. I would thoroughly recommend this place. Make sure to book in advance!
