We wanted to go to L’Arome but did not have a table booked and we rocked up at 9pm, got told pretty rudely that there’s no tables available, so we had to look elsewhere to have dinner. Thankfully we stumbled across Ummagumma, and ended up having a truly lovely meal in a very relaxed atmosphere, having managed to secure a table for 2 outside. The waiter (who probably also owns the place) is a very nice and charismatic person! The food was soooo tasty, everything was full of flavour, I was extremely impressed with the amount of scallops in the Tagliatelle St Jacques, there was no shortage of seafood and taste in that dish! The cheese fondue was amazing as well, the gratinee mussles were delicious! Even the salad was super tasty (in England salad doesn’t taste if anything unfortunately). Read moreGreat meal had at this restaurant. We were brought here by our friend who is a Marseille local. Between 6 of us, we shared a bottle of red wine, two plates of panisse, la fondue Clarines and had a main plate each. It was the perfect amount and the food was so good.
For the mains we had the poulpo fiction, scallop tagliatelle, duo de chevre, Caesar palace and the rougail saucisse. All was absolutely delicious. The highlight for me was definitely the Clarines fondue. It was so tasty and came with so many great things to dip in.
