saw this & rlly wanted to try the for place for dinner - they'd just opened & we contemplated booking but (granted it was early in service) walked past seeing the place visibly not busy so after checking online minutes before to find plenty of open tables for res, thought we'd just rock up .. we asked for a table for 2 & they said that unless we had a res they were fully booked (despite their website showing heaps of availability & the place being empty..) but to come back later.. so we booked one of the many tables free online for later & did a lap around the block for a drink to kill some time.. came back with our booking & the same server told us that our res was now void bcus they were actually fully booked all eve & had a fault in their booking system so still couldn't take us.. like ok sure but the place was still dead.. and as someone who's worked in hospo im wondering why they wouldn't tell us that the first time around or just turn off their online resys if they had an overbooking fault? like, if this was the case surely heaps of ppl would've been turning up with faulty bookings? but there was barely anyone there.. it seemed more like they just didn't wanna seat ppl who werent locals tbh which is fine.. understandable -- tho heads up to english speakers maybe book ahead, give it your best french & hope their faulty res XD system is fixed lol, or maybe just dont go if you're not a...
Read moreNice to have found this one week old Chinese restaurant serving pretty authentic Chinese dishes. We had the “tang cu” (sugar and vinegar) fried chicken for appertiser. My favourite dish of all. Sweet and acid was well balanced, served with ginger and scallion roots. This was refreshing and yet still very comforting. For mains, we ordered both the Shanghai noodles and beef. The noodles was well seasoned, soy sauce, fried onion fragrant oil. The noodles was slightly undercooked for my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The beef was a slight let down. Beef was cooked perfectly, but nothing shouts Chinese besides the overpowering cinnamon flavours. It was also abit too sweet for my preference. Overall we had a pleasant dinner. Staffs were friendly. Price wise, abit on the high side considering portion, but no doubt quality...
Read moreI went there with my girlfriend for dinner. We shared a starter and had a main dish afterward. The starter and the vegetarian dish were alright. It wasn't very special, it had a lot of soja sauce on it and not that many flavours. My Cochon Iberique was very good, i really enjoyed it. Together with the beer we paid around 70 euros. So it was a bit above average compared to similar restaurants. The Service was good and the chef is very friendly and really cares about your experience at the restaurant. The place is small, very cute, clean and cozy. I can recommend the place to get some asian inspired meat dishes with a friendly service and a...
