Made a lunch reservation for Saturday 1pm and the place was quite busy when we arrived. They didn’t have an English menu available but they were great about explaining the dishes to us (and Google Translate helped too).
Between the five of us we shared one tasting menu (55 €, five dishes) and three prix fixe lunches (32 €, appetizer + entree + dessert). The two menus are almost identical with the addition of a beef entree in the tasting menu. Both appetizers were really good - the zucchini and mussels in curry sauce was very light and refreshing, and I loved the green beans with the hazelnut, guanciale and ricotta. The green bean tempura was nice and lightly fried. For our mains, we got the tuna, monkfish, beef and pork. Really enjoyed the peach and tomato that came with the fish. The meats are cooked on the rarer side which I liked, and the carrot purée that came with both was luscious and tasty. Overall, each component on the dishes worked really well together, and the sauces were especially good. The plum yogurt dessert was refreshing, and the cheeses were quite nice with the apricot jam. Everything was plated beautifully.
Service was friendly and they spoke good English. Ambiance was lovely and food was really good quality for the value. However, had to dock a star from my overall rating as the courses came out rather slowly - our meal took two...
Read moreCame for lunch and did the Menu dégustation en cinq services. Overall is a good price for what you get. This meal started off strong with two tasty entrees. The sauce with the tempura was really delicious. The two main courses however were fairly disappointing. The fish course came with flowers on top that had bugs crawling in them. I just took the flowers off but it was the first thing I saw when I looked down and it really took away my appetite. It tasted just okay which was really a letdown after how good the starters were. The chicken wasn’t very good either, not cooked especially well and the flavor wasn’t special. I didn’t eat much of either main course. It was somewhat redeemed with the dessert which was pretty good, a biscuit with a chocolate mousse, pear sorbet, and tonka cream on top. As for the service, it was okay but nothing exceptional. I found it a little awkward that they never change your cutlery and I wasn’t sure what to do with my used fork and knife between plates and had to leave them in the bread basket to avoid putting them directly on the table. I wasn’t sure whether to give two or three stars since some of the meal was really good, but given that overall I wouldn’t go again I chose...
Read moreGood restaurant. Friendly staff, but it feels like the waiters need another person to help them as when the restaurant was fully booked, they had troubles with serving every table. Food was tasty, some dishes were delicious, some just ordinary What I did t like is that sometimes I had to wait and trying to call the waiter multiple of times and what really disappointed me is cappuccino that was horrible - just like cheap Nescafé, no foam etc. when I asked the waiter, he said that the machine is not working well… why could t he tell it to me when I ordered ? Why did he just brought me this strange drink that is similar to cappuccino? That thing disappointed me , which made me give 4 stars unfortunately…. Regarding the food, highly recommend a bun from a starter and a desert with...
