The craziest (in a good way) restaurant I’ve been to so far! And some of the best Italian food I’ve ever tasted! At first, we got a margherita pizza and a tartufo. Both were excellent, just how they should be made. But seeing how amazing the dishes at other tables looked and how good they smelled as they passed by, we decided to come back for another round. So, we returned a few days later! This time, we started with some arancini that were even better than the ones I had in Palermo! Then came the 'Milanese,' an incredible chicken escalope, served with some very tasty and fragrant pasta, plus the Vesuvio pasta with burrata that still makes my mouth water when I think about it! The surprise at the end was the very reasonable bill we paid. Walking into this place feels like being teleported from Marseille straight to Naples! You get the exact vibe of the famous Italian city, not just in the way the restaurant is decorated but also in the warm and lively way the staff and regulars interact. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, this might not be the place for you. But if you’re after a lively, authentic atmosphere and a night to remember, this trattoria is definitely the answer! I think their motto should be 'we'll make it work!' because they truly had a solution for every situation, even if it was a bit unexpected. Let me explain briefly: we first showed up on a very busy Sunday evening, and at first glance, there were no tables available. But they made it happen, and like magic, spots opened up. I won’t spoil the surprise of how the menu is presented, but it’s funny, you’ll see! When we came back a few days later, they had run out of the amazing ice cream served in a lemon or orange. No problem—they made it work and served it in a glass, swapping the lemon with limoncello on the spot. It turned out to be fantastic! Definitely recommended and worth five stars, with just one note: the second time we went when it was less crowded, the music was a bit loud.

How do I begin this …. We walked in famished , after reading all the amazing reviews , excited to try authentic Italian cuisine . We arrived to a chaotic mess of a broken system whereby customers waiting to pay and customers waiting to be seated were jumbled together while children ran all over the place even behind the bar . One we were seated , we weren’t given any menus and then the only visible menus on chalk boards were snatched away before we could even read them . He served us water twice yet was able to remain attentive to two other tables who arrived after us . We had not even placed our drink order and a table who arrived 10 minutes after us were happily drinking rose and munching on some bread . My dinner date noticed that the younger server had to make the other server aware of our presence and he reluctantly took our orders with barely a grunt of acknowledgment. Our food came quite quickly thankfully and we were accommodated with any condiments we requested but the Milanese was quite bland. The pasta sauce really saved the dish . We do not understand the discrimination against us two women therefore we can only conclude it was down to our lack of French as the only English speaking people in the restaurant. It honestly felt like a social experiment and like they were seeing how long it would take for us to just get up and leave . To conclude , if you’re not a local , I would avoid .

I found this place thanks to Google reviews the photos drew me in - everything looked so good. I was the first person to arrive and the kitchen wasn’t open yet so I ordered an Aperol Spritz and hung out until I was able to order food. My drink was perfectly made so much that I had another! Just like others have mentioned the staff were welcoming and friendly, the music was loud and they were singing & having fun. I ordered the carbonara as I had seen it in previous reviews and thought it looked yummy. I also wanted a salad but there was no side salad available however the super friendly waiter made one for me off-menu. It was so good very garlicky but very tasty. Unfortunately though, the carbonara was far too salty for me to enjoy properly I think it was the bacon. I couldn’t finish it Everything else was good, the pasta the bread etc The place was buzzing by the time I left. Definitely a popular spot. Salty carbonara aside, I enjoyed it here.
