I recently discovered an exceptional ramen spot in Metz, France, and it has quickly become a favorite. The noodles are made fresh, and the soup base is cooked to perfection, creating a truly authentic experience. I enjoyed the black sesame ramen, which was rich and flavorful, while my husband savored the shoyu ramen, both with broths that were impeccably balanced. The chashu was a highlight—grilled to perfection with just the right amount of fat, adding a delicious, smoky flavor without being overly greasy. The dedication to quality and authenticity is evident in every bite, thanks to the two talented Japanese chefs who prepared our meals. The ambiance of the restaurant is reminiscent of authentic ramen shops in Japan, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Located strategically in the center of Metz, it's a convenient spot for both locals and visitors. As an Asian, finding ramen that tastes like home is a rare and delightful experience. This restaurant captures that essence perfectly. I highly recommend this place to anyone in Metz looking for an authentic Japanese ramen experience. The passion and skill of the chefs deserve recognition and success, and I will definitely be returning again and again.

I drove to Metz from Strasbourg, looking forward to having authentic Japanese ramen, but unfortunately it was below my expectation as the broth was not enough rich and creamy like the ones I tasted in Japan. It could be okay for those who prefer light broth though. Personally I also don't like the texture of noodle(handmade?) which was quite firm and thin. However, overall, the food was okay even though the portion was not enough. Nevertheless, I will NEVER go there again as I was shocked when I saw the rising sun painting while paying my bill. I don't know whether the owner is Japanese or French, but it doesn't matter. Putting the symbol of Japanese militarism and imperialism during WWII in the restaurant is really disgusting. I've never seen Nazi swastika in any restaurants in the world, it must be the same for rising sun.

If you want to have a taste of Japan while you are in Metz, this restaurant is a great choice. Its decoration is simply gorgeous with a lot of beautiful details. The menu is rather small, but everything looked delicious and it actually was delicious. The staff was super friendly and can really recommend this restaurant!
