Esprit Vin — Restaurant in Montpellier

We were walking around the city and noticed that the restaurant had multiple small accolades so we decided to give it a try mainly also because we were on a tight budget and the dish of the day was only 11,9€. They had two meals of the day and me and my friend decided to try them both so we each ordered one. I am not gonna lie this was arguably the best food I have ever eaten I was truly stunned by it and will definitely come back to this restaurant whenever I get a chance to visit Montpellier again. The food was actually really enjoyable, we took burgers and the plat du jour. The overall hygiene wasn’t great. Not a single glass out of the 8 was clean, in fact pretty dirty. There was also a hair in my food, usually I don’t really mind, but this time it concerned me with the rest. Also the restrooms don’t have a toilet seat. The staff were friendly, only one waiter didn’t seem to have the best day, which is fine.

Since the beginning, the service was awful. The waiter was really rude and we had to wait like an hour for our meal, but when his friends arrived and ordered a lot later than us they got their food really fast (obviously so much sooner than ours).
