I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.
Ordered the brochette de bĆuf. Asked the waitress what it came with and was told it would come with âgratin de pommes de terresâ. When it arrived, I had regular roast potatoes on my plate (as pictured) so I asked for the potatoes that she said it would come with.
The dish returned 5-10 minutes later with the right potatoes but the meat was so cooked that I (and my husband) could not cut through the meat with the steak knife they provided. When I ordered the meat, she asked how I would like it cooked and I went for rare. It was most definitely NOT rare. I had to send the dish back for the second time and by this point, the group of people I was with had almost finished their meal. In fact, one of them had already finished their meal.
When the dish returned to the table for the 3rd time, the meat and potatoes were fine but the aubergine was NOT cooked at all. There were 2 chunks of uncooked aubergine on the skewers. By this point, I was so fed up with asking them to get their own dish right that I didnât bother. Plus everyone else had finished their meal and was...
Read moreJust stopped in for oysters (local from Bouziques - great!) and a glass of wine (local picpoule) as advertised on a little board near the window. Very pleasant and we ended up ordering several other appetizers (e.g., rillettes de canard) and even a dessert before heading off. We had arrived early and the owner seeing us with the oysters decided to have some herself during which we had a chat. Went back again last night and tried a couple of dishes on the menu and several other appetizers (salade gascogne - very nice with a little foie gras). Mainly ingredients from local sources. Overall, the food was great, the staff and owner very friendly, reasonable prices for both food and wine - sitting outside on the square in front of the church on a warming evening - could hardly ask for a better evening - will try and get back one more time before we leave...
