Avoid this place when in Uzes. They take booking and just let you hungry even without apologies. We booked a table for a dinner ( we were with a kid), we came on time and they just told us to walk around until some table will be free. We did, we came 20 minutes later just to realise that we still don’t have the table. And we didn’t get any information when we could be seated (initial booking was at 21:00). Rude, unacceptable behaviour, in accordance with all bad stereotypes about French hospitality.

Hi Greg, I am writing you this way as an answer to your comment since there is no other option to reply. So, our reservation was for 9:00 pm ( ask your blonde colleaque with the glasses). We came on time, you told as to walk around, until 9:15 so we did, we even gave you extra 5 minutes. We came at 9:20 and your other waitress told us that table is still not ready, she couldn’t say when it could be claiming that everything was late that evening. So, no language or cultural barriers, just a poor job. Good luck...

Conclusion, passez votre chemin vous...

To start, absolutely magnificent location. Great atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was below average… rubbery squid, dry Guinea fowl and completely tasteless, supposedly truffle palin pasta. The tempura gambas were fine. The prices and presentation suggested high-end food but I can’t deny, I was disappointed. This saddens me as I came here off of a recommendation and was excited for the experience but I don’t think I’ll be back. The service was okay, though I think the staff could be more attentive and friendly. If you’re looking for a pretty place and a good drink with friends, you’ll enjoy the space but I wouldn’t recommend for an...

We are from USA and wanted to spend the day in UZES, France. We wanted tapas and risotto so we choose Le Bec A Vin and came for lunch at 12:00. The door said reservations but the head waitress said it was ok come in! We ordered escargot’s and shrimp tempura to start and the fish of day risotto unfortunately forgot to take pictures but was excellent service and food. We had dessert creme brûlée with pistachio ice cream, caffe, Irish coffee!! The best meal and services we have received after four weeks in France!! Make reservations and enjoy the cavernerness, ambiance, friendly staff, and amazing food!

I would give this lovely place five stars but for two things: first sitting outside, there was a regular fall of dusty black particles from the fig trees above. They landed in our drinks and on the table: so if you're sitting outside, which is delightful on a hot lunchtime, choose your place carefully. Second and more seriously, my wife found a lump of plastic about 20mm long in her dessert (cherry cake, part of the cafe gourmand). We were given a "désolé" by the waitress but no offer of refund or replacement. Otherwise the food was delicious, the service friendly and the setting pleasant,

Couldn’t find a table we liked in the square. Walked up an alleyway and stumbled upon this unassuming place with a Gault et Millau window sticker. Tasteful decor, barrel vaulted ceiling and a very fine wine menu (fine entry price bottles up to top class). Set menu @ €25: Jambon with a sweet potato salad starter, pork belly on creamy risotto with a chorizo (just enough to add piquancy)sauce and a black currant mousse with red berry coulis. All beautifully presented and delicious! Fantastic salt crust bread. Would recommend highly for romantic dinner a deux as well as lunch.
