Mon Petit Bouchon — Restaurant in Nancy

All the food tasted so amazing! We had the menu of the day, a pollock dish and a steak.

Starter was chicken wrap with curry mayo which tasted refreshing and tantalising.

The steak was excellent! It was buttery and the right doneness. Never had I tasted such a good steak!

The fish was extremely fresh, and paired so well with the crispy slightly burnt rice, and very well seasoned with some sweetness sourness and savoury. Vegetables were cooked to the correct texture. Kudos to such a beautiful creation!

Chocolate mousse has that homemade creamy and smooth texture, such a delight.

All the dishes were executed meticulously, paying every detail to the tastes of the sauces and presentation....

Chanced upon this restaurant on Google when we were searching for lunch places and decided to visit. We were welcome by staffs who are friendly and one of them speaks fluent English. We were presented French and English menus. In terms of food selection, there was a lunch menu available which some of us took while others went for the ala carte. J'ai apprécié le service de la jeune serveuse : professionnelle, souriante, dynamique et visiblement passionnée par son métier car très à son aise !

La carte est variée, ce qui permet une belle découverte des spécialités lyonnaises.

La planche charcuterie/fromage à 20€ pour deux était un peu décevante :

4 petites tranches de deux charcuteries différentes 2 fines tranches de jambon Fromage au basilic.

Certes, les produits étaient bons, mais à ce tarif-là, je m'attendais à quelque chose de plus généreux et travaillé.

La bavette Angus au poivre était ordinaire. Cuisson trop poussée et absence de grains de poivre, goût de poivre trop peu prononcé. Un manque finition, d'autant plus dommage que la viande semblait de bonne qualité.

La salle est très bruyante (mauvaise insonorisation) et l'attente était un peu trop longue.

135€ à trois personnes… Pour cette addition, on espérait une meilleure expérience globale. Dommage, il ne manquait pas...
