Wife and I had the salad menu... The starter (charcuterie or smoked salm) ended up being basically the same as the main (salad with meat or salmon). Was ok but not great and in the end a bit too much of the same. As dessert it was included to have icecream or a magnum. We chose magnum as we wanted to have it on the go, but were charged for it separately due to some confusion (we wanted an extra small icecream for one of our kids bit instead were charged for the magnum). 5 euro for a magnum feels a bit like robbery especially as we only picked it as it was part of the menu and it was half molten. Wine was ok but served a bit too warm as well. In the end: nice location, friendly people, but unfortunately not the best price quality for food and wine in our experience.
Edit after seeing the owners reaction: that's quite a nasty response to an honest review. Some pieces of advice: As a "family restaurant", maybe trust that parents know their kids? We know they don't eat much for lunch and that's exactly why we ordered one menu to share. As expected they both had a few bites of meat and fries. The rest we ate as we try not to waste food. Menu says: starter: charcuterie. Main: salade campagnade. Not sure how we were to know these are 90% the same? Not detailed in the menu as you say... Don't make (racist?) assumptions on how hard life is for someone. Life in the Netherlands is pretty good for us... Don't personally attack customers who might have a few comments (implying parents dont feed their kids or are from "poor" countries). This is totally uncalled for and does not reflect well on your...
Read moreSuper nice owners who prepared for us a beautiful mix of charcuterie and cheese even though the kitchen was closed and they were resting. The seats are facing the cathedral and perfect to chill in the afternoon with a cold drink. Apparently this is a newly opened place so we wish the vesto to these smiling and...
