Les Arcades — Restaurant in Nice

Horrible experience is the least I can say. We wanted to take a dessert with my family and we felt like they didn’t want us there, mentioning… ohhh only for dessert, no sorry, we don’t have places! even if the restaurant was empty!!! Literally empty, just the staff who were sitting at a table and watching football game like on their sofas in the living room. We insisted to enter because it was late in the evening and we were tired after a long day and they allowed us to enter, but insisted to take the table they mentioned. After the desserts came to the table we had to ask twice for some table spoons, which they forgot about… we had to stand and go to the kitchen and ask for spoons as they were very busy watching TV. In the end we had an argument over a broken glass that the waiter shattered over our desserts… and when we asked for a replacement, because they simply added more cream on the dessert to cover it up, the waiter and the “boss” started to argue with us and called us with cursed words. As a matter of fact, the waiter reeked of alcohol.

All I wanted to say is that at some point they started to be agresive and we felt not in security there.

PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE... Not worth your time nor your money. The worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Came with a group of 5 friends, we weren’t that hungry and only asked for 2 pizzas, which apparently was an issue… got the ruddest treatment… then we asked for plates very politely, twice, and were denied both times. “You do not need 5 plates, you only ordered 2 pizzas for 5 people”… the pizza/oven guy was ready to hand me the plates, but he got told off by the waiter and later the owner/manager - whom was very rude to me directly, after asking him why not if I’m paying for their food and service. Felt very unsafe when speaking with him (one of the white haired, white mustache men, there are two must be brothers) Then, 2 American ladies came and they gave both of them the nastiest looks.. Lowkey sexual harassment. Pizza wasn’t even that good…. Also, the pizza/oven guy, whom wanted to help us, seemed to have some sort of disability and you can only assume he receives very bad treatment himself, if they treat their customers so poorly… you can tell it must be a ver toxic environment.. anyway, Please please go...

If I could mark this place with negative stars I would. I was waking with my fiancée and mother in law and we decided to stop for a drink and snack but to also use the restroom as they were both desperate, they explained the the waiter but he didn't seem to understand and just kept pointing at me and then the table. I sat down and explained what had happened when they came out and we collectively agreed we wouldn't support a business that treats people with less respect that how they would like to be treated. As we left they chased us down, both the manager and who I presume is his son/the waiter who was the most aggressive. He blocked out route in the road, he got in the face of both my fiancé and her mother and I was interjecting to prevent him from traumatising them which seemed to give him carte Blanche to start getting physical with me.
