Nice Italian spot right by the port overlooking the boats. The view and setting is stunning, especially as the sun starts to set. It’s one of those places where the location alone makes it feel special. Francesco, the owner, was warm, friendly, and clearly works hard to keep things running smoothly. The food, though, was just okay. We had the seafood salad, which was fresh and well portioned. The artichoke salad, on the other hand, felt flat. Mostly just greens, and since we asked for no cheese, it lacked flavor. Maybe that would’ve helped, but either way, it needed more. We shared a whole local fish, about 800 grams, which came out to €96 for the course. It was fresh, flaky, and white, but a bit chewy and lacking taste The side vegetables was a small portion and was average tasting. That price felt high for what it was, even considering the prime location. Service needs improvement. After the food was brought, no one checked in to see how things were or if we wanted anything else. Francesco did come by at the end to ask how the meal was, but by then it was too late to make any changes. He was clearly stretched thin, managing everything during a busy evening. Overall, this is a place you come for the view and the atmosphere. It’s beautiful and relaxing, but if you’re coming mainly for the food, keep your expectations in check or you might feel like you overpaid. Atmosphere: 5 stars Location: 5 stars Service: 3.5 stars Food: 3.5 stars Overall: 4 stars Worth it for the experience, especially if you want to enjoy a scenic dinner, but just know what you’re getting into.

We had a nice dinner here on a Tuesday evening. It is the highest rated restaurant on Google in the area. Unfortunately, it did not live up to its rating, but we did still have a pleasant dinner. The good: the atmosphere is fantastic. Calm, right on the port, next to the water. Beautiful tables with lovely plates and friendly service. The mussels were some of the freshest and cleanest we have had. The fish fillet was extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. The raw shrimp that came with the pasta was sweet, creamy, and delicious, and not something that you can find and order fresh at most restaurants. The less good: we waited about 40 minutes between our appetizer and our main course. The pasta was extremely bland and was reminiscent of buttered noodles that might be served on a busy day at the school cafeteria when you were 8 years old. The eggplant that was served with the fish was, upon first tasting, quite good, but then quickly turned to a very unpleasant bitter and dirty aftertaste. It is also quite pricey in terms of the food and the quality, but you must consider the atmosphere and the overall service. All in all, I was debating between 3 and 4 stars, but it is a fine establishment that serves quality seafood that is about as fresh as you can find, the service and the atmosphere are borderline breathtaking, and those things count for a lot, hence the 4 stars.

I think I will be dreaming of this dinner for a long time. The location, in a quiet part of the marina, is so special, sitting on the terrace facing the boats and the most spectacular riviera view imaginable. The service is exquisite, I felt so welcome and like family, even as a first-time visitor. I was warmly introduced to other regular diners and served attentively. Now the food… 5 stars for quality, simple but beautiful presentation, and truly memorable flavors. The linguine vongole deserves an award for perfection. I hope to never forget it and among all the other restaurants in the village, I would gladly return on a future visit to the glorious Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.
