… I cannot believe I am here editing my same review from years ago about this place - insane that it happened again! After an incredibly unpleasant food poisoning incident previously at this same restaurant we were scared of ordering anything fresh / meat or seafood. Since it was Jan 1st and nothing else was open we decided to have a “safe” pizza. One Pizza 4 Seasons later we are here again with stomach cramps, vomiting, the whole show. This place has to be SHUT DOWN immediately. Stay away at all cost!!!
Oct 2019 - FOOD POISONING!! We ordered the Mussels and a Hamburger after waiting for 1.5h to place the order. The wait staff is not even capable of providing a menu while waiting and the water arrived after 1 hour, after the food. After about 12 hours after this greasy, average meal, we experienced heavy vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness and fainting, the classic case of the Norovirus. It is not even possible that we received it from another place, as we did not eat dinner that night and had a croissant fro breakfast. The kitchen is infected, stay far away...
Read moreAverage food and service. The restaurant is really beautiful and has a great terrace with views to the harbor. It’s very relaxing. However, the food and the service are, in comparison, not what we expected.
We ordered 2 octopus salads and 1 lassagne. The octopus salad looked good so we ordred it. The potatoes were really tender but the octopus quite thick and chewy. Unfortunately, neither of the salads was acceptable but there was one whose octopus was really really bad. I could finish mine, but my friend couldn’t. We tried to explain the staff that the salad did not fulfill our expectations (nor the price) and instead of making and effort to understand and find agreement terms, they made us feel as if it was just a matter of (our) bad taste - which I didn’t like at all. I’m Spanish, and I know how a good octopus should taste like.
Anyways, it was not about the food even, (cause the lassagna was really tasty) but the service. If you are up for pizza or burger, maybe this is your spot, but definitely not what we expected...
Read moreThe Cadillac, despite its beautiful location with a view over the port and bay at Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, is a typical tourist trap. I visit France every summmer and it is a shame that in a luxury destination like Saint Jean Cap Ferrat there are no good restaurants. I ordered a pizza and rosé wine de la maison. As I was alone, Iasked for 25cl but I was given half a litre, which cost almost as much as the pizza. Pizza is the only edible thing on the menu and the wined was corked. It is striking that they do not seem able to offer good food at reasonable prices when they have such an ideal location. The service is very poor; I was made to wait for a table because I was alone, even though there were many free places and I waited 45% minutes to be serves as they prioritised other people.
If you want to dine here, because of the location, do not try the first and second course, because they are INEDIBLE. And do not order any wine because it is AWFUL. I suggest you stick to a...
