Added new reply to shopkeeper's nonsense Everyone come to here should read this, to see how this shop treat people with children.
Very bad service of a coffee shop, very mean clearly , like the owner and his family never ever had a child. They don’t respect guest travelling with child, they find every excuse to reject us just because they think our buggy takes up too much space. I have never ever seen a coffee shop treat the guest with child like this way!!
to reply:
wow, I have never seen a person so shameless, and whitewashed his behavior of discriminating against guests with children, if you are deaf or blind, then I can forgive you for not hearing what we told you, not seeing that we have two babies are sleeping on the buggy and you ask us park the buggy away from the table where we were supposed to be sitting. And, we made it clear that we want to put merge three small tables(table for two seat), then put two buggies at sides, and put away one. We have three adults and two 5-years kids, what's the problem with three small tables we ask? ! Why are you treating us like this? ? Is it because we are Asian faces? Our three mothers are traveling with a total of five children including three babies, just want to find a coffee shop to sit, and your arrogance hurt us and our children, your behavior is discrimination!! the truth is you think we'll eat very little, but take up a lot of your space, not a good business for your side. tear off your hypocritical mask, admit it, you just don't want guests with too many kids. Shame on your...
Read moreIt was very nice. Good music. Good WiFi. I had chocolate milk and a hot tea. Both hit the spot. People around me we're getting food. The sandwiches look very good. I sat inside for about 45 minutes to an hour and worked with my laptop. It was very comfortable.
Here's what I wrote on Trip Advisor after have a little bit of time to think about my trip. :-) :
This place is a must if you are looking for coffee or a cafe in Old Town. Just go there.
I was looking for a place to grab a cup of tea and sit for a little bit after a day of exploring Nice. I stumbled upon Hobo Coffee and quickly found the staff to be very friendly. There was a certain positive energy with which they treated each of their guests, tourists and locals alike. Hobo Coffee had a perfect mix of great service, great drinks and a nice light menu. By the second time I visited, they already knew my name and welcomed me back like an old friend. I travel quite a bit and it's always nice, but at times difficult, to find a place as warm and welcoming as Hobo Coffee. I was able to sit and relax for a little while in a place that is not centered around alcohol. If are lucky enough to spend time in Nice an you visit this place, I think you will not only find the service to be excellent, the cheese boards and desserts were really good too. Everyone behind the counter goes out of the way to make sure that their customers are treated...
Read moreTHE BRUNCH. Super expensive for the dish you have, i can explain
You can find a lamb's lettuce that was not even washed and you could feel the soil that you could feel in your teeth while chewing Overly boiled egg that you could see the yolk with a super bad color which tells that it was left in hot water for a long time A super thin slice of a melon, but trust me, about 0.6 cm Half kiwi, and half of a 4 tiny pieces of mandarin
THE "DESSERT" That was a yogurt with a supposedly "granola" but instead they did put raw oats, with 2 small pieces of banana and thin apple slices, i'm still searching for my granolas Simple croissant that was not bad, one star for this
A juice that was served in a small champagne glass..
In conclusion : A cold dish because you have just a boiled cold egg (which is normal, i know) A rude cook that was not happy because i said that i wanted a vegeterian brunch, after he did send his bad mood to the nice waitress The door that was always open, so everyone could feel the nice cold weather getting deeper in their body ANYWAY 25 euro for this, it's a waste of money Doesn't recommend, other places makes real food that is COOKED and not just veggies and fruits cut in a dish with a super boiled egg
I recommend Zeni Coffee, Kind & Co, Garden Café Nice
I became a super Karen because...
