Indian Delices — Restaurant in Nice

Dear restaurant owner,

We just walked into your restaurant at 7:20 PM (its Saturday ) excited to try this Indian restaurant, that we’ve been looking forward to try since weeks, asking for a table which a blond long haired man behind the bar was happy to give to us but warning us multiple times that it will take an hour to get food despite it being early and the restaurant being only half occupied.

We said that we found this very strange and asked multiple times if we order straightaway if it will really take so long, and he reconfirmed it will take about an hour to receive food to the table.

Considering the other reviews I am sure this cannot be true and must just be a staff error on this day. At least this is what we hope as we really wanted to make this our regular Indian restaurant, seeing as it’s near our home. I look forward to your (restaurant owner) response to my review....

The first time we tried eating here, we went inside and it was very hot so we asked if we could sit outside and they said yes. We sat outside for about 15-20 minutes and no one came out to give us a menu or anything. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. A few days later, we tried again. This time we ordered from Uber eats for pick up and they accepted the order and as I get to the store to pick it up, they’re closed. Online it says they’re open. I tried calling them 4 times and no one ever picked up. Even tried knocking on the door and no one answered. I have eaten here on at least 7 occasions and have never been disappointed. The service can be a little slow at times, but when your food is FRESH, quality takes time. If you're the kind of person who is satisfied with your Indian food being made in the morning for a quick delivery at night, this place isn't for you. Some people genuinely complain about UberEats but lay blame on the restaurant.
