Le bistrot des jardins — Restaurant in Nice

Sadly, the waitress in charge of receiving the people was awful, extremely unpolite. Maybe she was surprise to see a young adult interested in good food. I choose this restaurant to have a dinner on my vacation because i appreciate good food and I obviously informed myself of the prices before arriving there. In her face you could realize that she was not pleased with my visit, she very sceptical told me to seat in a table that was located in the entrance, where the door is and where you couldnt shift the chair to sit comfortably. I politely asked if I could move tables, several of them free, she said no, sorry. Itll rain and thats the only table where you can sit, she also realized I dont speak french and she didnt made any effort to speak with me in english (I understand everything because my mother tongue is Spanish). Sadly I couldnt try the food because I left, and I left feeling really bad, because she judge me on my age, I dont see any other reason and I saw the average age of people sitting there. We walked all the way here because it says was open on google maps only to find it was closed. Please fix this. Once you do, im happy to delete this review ————————- Reply to owner: Your explanation only makes things more frustrating—it’s disappointing to learn that you’re knowingly posting incorrect hours and refusing to fix them. If you’re not actually open during those times, don’t advertise that you are. It’s disrespectful to customers’ time. I walked a long way to your restaurant because I believed you were one of the few open mid-afternoon.

f you're vegetarian give this place a miss. Don't order a 'special' vegetarian meal as it is not special and the price is totally unreasonable and not explained in advance. Really don't like posting things like this, but this time the lack of flexibility and total attitude of 'well of course you have to pay the higher price' for a meal that really was zero special did spoil our great afternoon at an otherwise fabulous restaurant. Fantastic location, great food. Also the 'older' waitress blaming the younger waitress for the mistake in not communicating the price...
