Disappointing experience. The restaurant has reduced opening times and days. Me and my family arrived on Monday to Nice and being a vegan, I’ve been searching for vegan places/restaurants to try. Koko Green opens on Thursday afternoon, and evenings from 19:00 to 22:00. I got to the restaurant at 20:40 with my sister and my 6 years old daughter and the waiter refused us service as apparently the kitchen closes at 21:00 and there wasn’t enough time to cook the food. (There were plenty of free seats ) I do not recommend this place if you are intending to come after 8:30pm. (Considering they are opening at 7pm , I thought arriving at 8:30pm should be fine; I was so wrong. I was looking forward to try their food as I’ve been struggling all my holiday to find a fully vegan restaurant and it’s been challenging to find vegan options even in supermarkets. However, I’m put off by Koko Green service and I second thought if I should go there tomorrow or not as I may go through a similar experience.
Edit:
Thank you for clarifying the issue and I’m sorry to hear you wasn’t well that evening.
I’ve changed the rating, however, I won’t be changing the feedback.
Being a fully vegan on holiday in a city that isn’t offering many vegan options (even in supermarkets) is quite hard. When I’ve found your restaurant, I’ve been so excited and ready looking forward to try your food the entire week, and when I was turned away by you, I’ve been really disappointed with the overall experience. I’ll will consider visiting you on my next...
Read moreWe wanted to go eat there but the food there didn't smell right. (update) But the owner is right, this is no reason not to try the food. My apologies for the comment, very good life lesson. I respect what your business is doing and not selling prepackaged food and everything is fresh (we need more of this). I was still relatively new to vegan restaurants back then as a vegetarian. Now that I am more experienced, looking forward to try your food. I appreciate your explanation as well and outlook on life. :) Keep standing your ground and explain to people informatively like this, some need to hear this. I know my comment was a while ago, but I hope my comment didn't ruin your day. I only read your reply on 07/06/2022, if I ready it any sooner, I would of personally apologized to you in person. Yes, you are right, if I didn't experience your restaurant, I shouldn't comment. I wanted to delete first, but wanted you to see this comment. Will make sure to apologise to you in person if I am ever in town. :) Hope my comment becomes a lesson for others to not prejudge a restaurant too soon and I too hope you have a joyful life and a...
Read moreWe had pretty high expectations for this place but unfortunately we weren't that impressed. It's a small place so the vibe is crammed and loud. I wish you could sit outdoors, this would help a lot. The food was the real letdown. After reading so many glowing reviews, we really thought this was going to be amazing. The menu offers a whole lot of different cuisines from around the world, and maybe that's why none of them were really exceptional in the end. We ordered the kimchi pancake as a starter - the best dish we had that evening - which was well-seasoned but a bit too sweet. The mains we picked were the spring rolls with pad thai and the burger. The spring rolls turned out to be summer rolls (not the same thing) so we didn't get what we expected and the pad thai was more of a salad than anything else. The burger was tiny and rather bland. The plate mainly consisted of a large salad. We didn't try the desserts, so I don't know if they would have made up for this. If you're raw you might find what you're looking for here but if you're here mainly for the vegan food, I'd recommend Utopia or Not...
