LA TARTANE — Restaurant in Nice

Firstly, I observed several people reading the menu outside before entering to dine, which suggested that there were still available reservations. However, when I approached, the staff member immediately informed me that there was no seating available inside as everything was reserved and that we would need to sit outside. Secondly, I had come specifically for pasta, not pizza, and when I enquired if there were any other options, the staff member replied that there was no pasta on the menu that day. On top of that, she responded with "No time!" a second time, which I found rather dismissive. It felt as though she did not have the time or inclination to offer helpful advice to non-French-speaking guests regarding the menu. A bit more kindness and attentiveness towards tourists would have been greatly appreciated, especially given the fact that we were spending over €20 per person. This place does have good food however their online reservation system doesn’t function.several times we made reservations using the website and when we would show up there would be an empty restaurant and no reservation. 1st time we assumed we messed up, 2nd and 3rd time not so much. In true European fashion, the restaurant will be empty for hours but they will not take anyone because they have reservations later in the evening (hard to fault them for that - that is the way). Their pizzas are good.

Just an amazing Calzone!!!!! Perfect! This is right next door to another very popular Pizza place. We have eaten here now at least once a week and have always been impressed with the quality of the food. The price is also super reasonable. I'm a fussy eater being a 5* chef and would go as far to say it's the best pizza I've ever eaten!
