Update: following the owner's response, in a situation where a customer already used the bathroom, there is nothing you can do. Will you block his way out? Will you force him to buy something? in my case, I came to buy a salad to take out and couldn't find any. its your bad you don't have many healthy and vegetarian options. It's redicules what the waiter did (asking us to buy something) and you just lost 2 clients.

The owner of this place should be aware that one of their waiters is rude. A client who is looking to buy lunch and can’t find what he wants to eat, but have used the bathroom, isn’t obliged to “buy something” for using the bathroom. Use some common sense!
