Maison De Re — Restaurant in Nice

Truly a hidden gem! Though not too far off the beaten path either. Maison De Re is the epitome of when value meets quality. We had the special (one pizza or pasta with a drink of either wine or soda and a dessert). Everything was delicious and the menu offers a lot of options too. We opted for the lasagne bolognese and gnocchi napoli with a chocolate fondant and tiramisu. One of the best meals we have had on our 15 day trip - great quality and flavour and very generous portions. We saw another review before going that said not to be concerned about the lower prices and they were 100% right - Maison De Re really prizes quality 👌 The owners were also so friendly, helpful, and welcoming - excellent service.

Update: went back a second night and so happy we chose Maison De Re for our final dinner! We had spaghetti bolognese and penne arrabiata and for dessert, the fondant (again) and tried the gateau of the day (apple cake). The cream served with desserts is also really excellent.

Family run Italian restaurant, we decided to pay a visit after reading reviews aswell as it being close to our hotel. It's quite small, but cosy. Full credit to the Husband and Wife team, she was very friendly with the service while Husband did the cooking. It felt very authentic. Pizza was fantastic and my other half had a Carbonara which she enjoyed. I feel bad for not giving 5 stars but unfortunately our dinner was spoilt a bit by flies circling our food. Very good food at a reasonable price, and very friendly staff! Plat du jour at E13.50, and menu (which is plat + desert + verre de vin) at E18.
