We came for an early apéro at 11am. The terrace was sun filled and surrounded by colourful, grand and ancient Nisçois buildings. Wonderful for people and dog watching. The best part was the prices for drinks in such a central, old town bar and the beautiful terrace. You don’t have to think twice about the second or third or forth drink. The Patron (owner) who has been there for many years, was very polite, welcoming and wonderfully French. A place for locals but also respectful tourists who do not want to be a ‘tourist’. The rosé is excellent and not at all expensive. Order a ‘quart’ de vin. Pronounced ‘caar in English. A quarter of a litre - 25cl basically two big glasses and watch Nice go by.
