I've been wanting to finish my review at Olivieria since I've been back from France. It's way overdue, but here it is!!! I absolutely adore this place! Out of all places, this was the most memorable in all aspects of my taste buds! A MUST if you're in NICE!

The owner, Nadiu, spoke English and was super helpful and knowledgeable of everything that evolves around olives and of course, the menu! The place is small and fits around 4-5 parties inside and a couple outside (call ahead for reservation). I love that their kitchen is literally in the restaurant where you can smell everything, it's really an aroma pleasure! High praises to the chef working here solo! Everything came out quick and delicious, unbelievable!

The menu changes monthly depending what's in season. So you know that you are getting the freshest ingredients possible! I posted a photo of the December 2011 menu that I had the pleasure of doing a tasting on since I had a party of 6.

Mozzarella Buffala OMG, this was sooo fresh! It's one of the best I had ANYWHERE! If you love burrata, you have to get this. I was in LOVE!

Avocat Loco This is their version of guacamole salad. My new found friend, Nadiu, challenged one of the girls from Mexico at our table to compare it their guacamole. She had humbly admit that this was some pretty excellent guacamole! The guacamole comes on top of a slice of apple and fresh spring mix, the paring is unbelievable!

Tartare Mediterranee Another unbelievable dish! For those not afraid to eat raw beef, it's a MUST! This was my favorite out of all the entrees. It comes mixed with an explosion of flavors, a side of potatoes, and a pairing sauce. Cannot even describe how good it is!

Lasagne au Potiron on Ragu Pumpkin Lasagna...I don't even remember if there was any meat in here. The dish was light and healthy alternative to your typical Lasagna. This is not my style of dish, but it was still very good.

Raviolis Nicois Another light dish! This was a perfect balance of mini ravioli and their tomato sauce, yum. I don't recall what was inside the Raviolis. Sorry, it's been almost 3 months!

Linguini al Pesto The noodles have pesto in them, so it'll come out green! I don't really remember the dish too much, but still good.

Braised Beef This was not on the menu, but I'm glad we ordered it. The beef was soo tender! It came with a potato mix and a carrot. The dish was full of flavor, so it was a great pairing it with the pasta dishes. Yum!

Tiramisu OMG! This was sooo good and Nadiu was so generous with the portion since he knew we were all sharing! If you can imagine the perfect layer of Tiramusi, this is it!

All the dishes were amazing, but what really topped it off was the olive oil dressed on top of each dish. Nadiu used a different olive oil on each dish beginning with the fresh bread we got to the Tiramisu. Yes, you read correctly....olive oil on top of the Tiramisu! Who would've known?!

I couldn't be happier and I hope one day soon that I can return and try their menu again. Fellow Yelpers, please review this place so I can live vicarious through you and be transported back to this lovely little restaurant!

*They are located a little bit of out of the main shopping area, but it's only a 5-10min walk. Plus, there's a lot of local shops where you can find better deals on clothing and jewelry. Please try and enjoy! You'll fall in love like I did,...

There are not enough positive and loving words to describe Oliviera and Nadim/his lovely wife. The food is amazing, and I've tried almost everything on his menu, and go back over and over and over... I love the Olive Oil pairings with the food, as it is truly like pairing a fine wine with fine food (and yes, the rosé paired with all is amazing too!). I keep a supply of his olive oil on hand in my pantry, and when Nice, Fr went into covid-19 confinement, i sooooo missed his food, but was thankful i could replenish my olive oil via on-line order. Now that Nice is slowly re-opening, the first place i headed for 'takeaway' was to Oliviera for my Aubergine Oliviera, one of their classic dishes. When friends come to visit from the USA, i take them there for lunch, always...and it is such a delightful experience. I could keep going on and on about Nadim, his family, his food, his EVOO, but I figure Google has a limit to how long one can explain one of the best foodie adventures ever! Thank you Nadim and Mrs. Nadim, your restaurant is like home to me because your kindness and love show throughout all...

We seen this place on Google and decided we must give it a try. I'm so glad we did I feel like we hit the food jackpot. The gentleman who owns the small unique food establishment gets his ingredients locally and makes his own olive oils. He welcomed us in with open arms, explained the menu to a T and how things are prepared. The bread and olive oil is amazing I think I could have ate a whole piece of bread with the olive oil. I got the lasagna and my boyfriend got the ravioli. The best food I've had so far, for dessert we both got the tiramisu. Absolutely amazing. Everyone needs to eat here when they are visiting Nice. You will not be disappointed. And yes it does take a while to get your food but it's all prepared as ordered. Nothing is precooked. So therefore enjoy your time in Nice, learn about the history because he will tell you and just enjoy the moment. I'll be back here...

A very special place! This is by far my favorite restaurant in Nice. Authentic, honest food, a calm, cozy atmosphere with great staff. They are not really staff but rather the heart and soul of this place. The owner shares his pleasure for quality food and good recipes with the guests without being obnoxious or overbearing. He does only one seating per night to keep that calmness and beautiful atmosphere alive and to focus on the dishes and guest instead of the turnover. The queens in the kitchen handpick every leave that goes into a salad and arrange beautiful plates. You have to try the avocado salad! It is an oasis of authenticity that makes you feel being at someone’s home rather than this busy tourist city. Recommend it to anybody who can appreciate the simplicity of good ingredients as a quality seal for good food. Love love love this place!

Amazing place, owner (and the host) is immensely passionate about his olive oil and food. Absolute pleasure to listen to, he personally sources all his olive oils from local suppliers and avoids wholesale/intermediate suppliers to ensure his olive oils are very fresh. His hospitality was incredible, it's like he knows exactly what we wanted. We just finished our Aubergine starter and had some oil and sauce left on the plate and without asking he gave us extra bread (the bread was also very delicious on its own) to mop up the sauce. That alone made our visit to Oliviera worth it. Our meal was superb, each dish had so much flavour and was only heightened by their pairings of different olive oils. Definitely come here if you're in Nice but do try and reserve a table/come early as opening hours are limited.
