Coming from a huge craft cocktail friendly culture, this is the first and only place I have been in my over year living in France that holds a candle to my favorite spots back home. Max (who I believe is the owner) operates the place with absolute fervor and zest for life. He is kind and connected and truly cares about the drinks he makes as well as the people he serves. He let me know that Povera is routed in the Italian verbiage for home made and locally sourced and let me know that all of their syrups and add ons are made in house from locally sourced ingredients and MY GOD does it show. The dim lights, along with the minimal and modern design, created a lovely atmosphere for their beautiful drinks. The space is warm, inviting, and different from a lot of other establishments in the area.
