Restaurant du Gésu — Restaurant in Nice

The most terrible, horrible and humiliated service that I've ever had in France. The hairy white guy with glasses is really impolite and rude. The one thing that this restaurant doesn't have is, a "kind" and "polite" waiter. ;/ He totally ruined my last day in France with my mother. When I claimed about the waiting time, he said "If you can't wait, get out and find other restaurants." Also, he told other guests that this little trouble was not his fault and giggled in French, but he should have known that I could speak and understand French. So humiliated. I feel sorry if other guests who were eating at this restaurant were uncomfortable because of our trouble. Anyway, if you want to get a nice service in Nice, go and find other restaurants. :)

ㄹㅇ별 한개도 아까운 식당. 서비스 프랑스 통틀어서 최악. 줄 수 있는 별이 1개가 최소인게 한스러울정도; 수염난 남자 웨이터 ㄹㅇ싸가지없고 인종차별 개 심합니다; 현지인 추천받고 갔는데 잠깐 기다리라고해놓고 사람 10분 넘게 서있게하고, 자리에 앉아있으니까 겁나 뭐라하면서 일어나라고 언성높임ㅋ 우리보다 늦게 온 외국인들 먼저 테이블에 앉히고, 우리 앉아있는데도 사람 없는 테이블 먼저 셋팅함 ㅗ 진짜 개빡.. 사람 없는 테이블 다 치우면서 우리 테이블만 10분 넘게 안치우길래 바쁜가해서 앉아있던 테이블 그릇이랑 컵 모아두고 기다리니까 와서 참을성 없다고 화내길래 우리 꽤 오래 기다렸다고 하니까 10분이 그렇게 길면 딴 식당 가서 먹으라함ㅋㅋ;;;; 첨엔 그렇게 느꼈으면 미안하다 이해한다 그러니까 "아니 넌 이해 못해" 이럼. 그러고 웨이터가 다른 사람들한테 저 사람들 ㄹㅇ 참을성 없다고 불어로 욕하는거 듣고 불어로 대답했더니 아 너 불어해서 좋겠네 짝짝 이럼 그러고 손님들한테 다 욕하고 다님ㅋ.ㅋ.ㅋ.ㅋ.ㅋ.ㅋ.ㅋ 겁나 싸가지없음요 진짜 평생 한 될듯 니스에서의 마지막날 수염난 머리 곱슬거리고 안경낀 웨이터때문에 그냥 망침 절대 가지마세요 한국인들 제발 가지마세요;;;;; 진짜 제발;;;;; 맛도 별로라는데 글고 겁나 구석진데있음 다른데에 더 서비스 좋고 맛있는데 많으니까 따른데 가세요 제발 후기 보니까 서비스 별로라는 평 많던데...

Very poor experience. The restaurant is in a lovely setting and had lots of outdoor tables, so thought it was the perfect place for a summer evening. However, the starters we ordered were just okay - beignets and onion pizza - not very fresh. Then our mains arrived. The Daube meat was cold and tough, felt like it was leftovers that had been put on the plate. We spoke to the waitress and told her it was cold, she offered to reheat the meat. The same meat arrived back 20 mins later, barely heated through - quite shocking not to have had a replacement! The side of polenta by this time was cold as well, making the whole main meal ruined. The pesto pasta arrived cold and chewy, tasted like it had been sat out in the air for a while and was not fresh at all. When we asked for the bill, we asked to not pay for the food as it was inedible. The waitress said she couldn’t offer the food for free because there was no manager, but would take the beers off our meal. The whole dinner cost us €68 - a total rip off for such poor quality food. The whole place felt understaffed with the 3 waitresses serving a huge amount of tables, not able to give customers the attention needed to create a good experience and make up for lack...

Terrible service and a huge letdown!! We ordered and waited endlessly, while every other table that came after us had already been served and finished their meals. The staff member ( a lady) who took our order didn’t even notice, and when I asked, she looked confused, checked here and there, and simply shrugged with an “I don’t know.” No apology at all. Only another staff member, an asian man finally came over to apologise, but by then it was far too late. We had waited wayyyy too long and ended up cancelling our order. This completely ruined what should have been a nice dining experience at Nice. Unacceptable service!! I would not recommend. We left the restaurant not only disappointed, but...
