La Dolce Vita — Restaurant in Niort

Very disappointed and the minimum rating as a result. It was terrible service from the start and a very rude abrupt waiter and we were kept waiting for a long time with no drinks order taken. We were celebrating a special occassion and i highlighted this at the time of booking.Finally our starter arrived and it was served in a huge bowl to share amongst four with no serving spoons. It was very basic and mainly lettuce with a few croutons and crusted goats cheese. The bottle of red wine i ordered was good and offered small solace as to what followed. Two soggy pizzas and a slightly burnt calzone and an inedible very burnt lasagne. I pointed this out to the waiter who ignored me and so I had to call him again as i was not going to eat any of it. I showed him and removed with my fork the whole burnt layer and at which point he finally reluctantly agreed that it was not good enough. We were certainly not staying for desserts after this experience. Amongst the worst dining experience we have ever had and 124 euros for nearly inedible food was a high price and no apology was offered upon our departure. Avoid at all costs as there are plenty of better options in the vicinity.

What a pitiful reply from the owner to my dining experience as it was my worst dining experience ever !!!!!! I am lost for words at the response and I would love to serve up the same inedible burnt food to them without a semblance of an apology. I advise avoid at all costs and would have removed my 1 star even for the wine as a result of this response. An apology is obviously beyond their protocol and the customer...

I booked a table for six to celebrate my sister’s birthday, surprising her with a homemade chocolate cake.

The staff were very professional and kind.

The place was very clean and stylish. Superb italian products and paintings.

The only negative point was we found it a bit too noisy. Adding noise cancelling panels would have been nice.

Je suis très déçue. Nous sommes allés à ce restaurant la semaine dernière. Je commence à manger ma pizza qui au départ était très bonne mais arrivée au milieu de celle-ci je trouve des petits cailloux dans la salade et je mange très clairement une grosse bouchée de sable. J'essaie de regouter et rebelote. On le notifie au serveur en lui montrant les petits cailloux. Ce dernier va voir son chef qui dit très clairement "c'est la nature". Pas une seule excuse, pas de geste commercial, rien. Avoir un peu de sable dans sa salade peut arriver mais le comportement du serveur et du chef ont été déplorable. Arrivés au comptoir pour payer, nous ne disons rien, le chef lui nous regarde en nous disant qu'il lave sa salade tous les matins de manière arrogante et déplacée. Je lui explique qu'il n'a pas à se comporter comme ceci envers les clients. C'est la moindre des choses de s'excuser. Ce qu'il n'a pas fait car apparemment, c'etait trop demander.
