Truly incredible place. Here's the American's take. Way too much walking and traveling around, we got back to our hotel down the street and really needed a good meal. My teenagers were about to flip out. We walked up the street until we came to this place. We looked over the menus and were concerned as there was no English version, though the menu had headings like hamburger, salad etc. Was easy enough to figure out and the waiter and concierge were patient. We had hamburgers for the boys and I ordered a cordon bleu. Food was absolutely incredible. We ordered beer and wine with dinner without an issue and then followed up with coffee and desserts. The four of us ate our fill and walked out for 140 Euros. Money well spent. It really hope to come back to this place but we're leaving in a few days. It was really spectacular and added to our adventure vacation in Paris. Definitely take time to stop though it's intimidating walking up to a packed restaurant where they don't speak our language. Well done Le Marigny! Fyi- remember that Google translate is on your phone. It can easily convert the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying the Shakshouka at Le Marigny in Vincennes, and I must say, it was quite an enjoyable experience! 😋🍳 The dish was flavorful and beautifully presented, featuring perfectly poached eggs nestled in a rich and savory tomato sauce. The spices were well-balanced, creating a delightful harmony of taste that kept me coming back for more. However, I did notice that the plate was a little cold when served, which took away from the overall warmth of the dish. ❄️
The accompanying Greek yogurt added a creamy element, but it was a bit on the bitter side. I think the dish would benefit from a sprinkle of feta cheese 🧀 instead, as it would add a delightful saltiness that complements the Shakshouka perfectly.
The overall atmosphere of Le Marigny was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the decor created a cozy environment perfect for enjoying a meal. 🌟 I truly appreciated the local vibe and the sense of community within the restaurant. I’ll definitely be returning to try more dishes on...
Read moreSooooo, the food was not remarkable. About 100€ for dinner for four, 1 starter and a dessert, plus drinks.
But the service was just relaxing. Seated immediately, our server Jimmy was at our side right away. Not hovering, just the right amount of attention. We were warm and not too crowded with other tables. The WCs were clean; looked it AND smelled it, also.
We were along a window: a foursome of teens were outside relaxing with each other for the duration of our meal. It was a...
